Let me preface this by saying that I think Deadly Dance is a great example of ITS having significant issues in terms of game play...I genuinely enjoy the game more when not playing ITS, and this mission is a fantastic example of why. That said...

In Deadly Dance, as long as you aren't playing in a tournament (where the inability to score full points will hurt your standings), you are still in good position to win with Ariadna. The points breakdown is like this...

Per game round: 1 point for controlling the quadrant, +1 if your TAG is in there.
End of game: 1 point for controlling MORE quadrants, 2 points for killing the enemy DT, and you have a classified.

I look at this and immediately think, between Vanilla Ariadna and TAK, Vanilla is much better suited to the task. Some reasons for and against TAK,

    For:

    1) TAK is very good at killing TAGs, with 2x AVA Antipode Packs, T2 weapons, Pavel, and AP HMGs out the wazoo.
    2) You can build fireteams.

    Against:

    1) Vanilla Ariadna has enough AVA on the units you want to take (Antipodes, Dog Warriors, Spetsnaz, Tankhunters, Pavel) that, if it's just about having access to the right units, Vanilla Ariadna can basically make that work.
    2) In Deadly Dance, you want REAL infiltrators. Vanilla Ariadna has access to units that TAK does not, that are EXTREMELY useful in Deadly Dance, and that allow you to control quadrants without really moving them. Most of TAK's infiltrators are actually FD 1 or 2, not full on Infiltration.
    3) Vanilla Ariadna can control quadrants simply by weight of camo markers and has much better units for punishing your opponent for trying to take OUR PLANET, Ariadna.

Here's what I would run...obviously optimize a bit but this gives you...

    1) Over 200 points spread across up to 3 quadrants.
    2) Camo LT.
    3) Ability to do pretty much all the classifieds except a couple.
    4) The right units to kill the enemy DT and TAG
    5) The right units to make your opponent's crawl across the table painful, while mitigating damage to yourself.

Thanks for the response. I ended up bringing TAK. I brought a pretty different list though.

I ended up with a minor victory. I kept his TAG down with the Veteran and was able to push forward with the FD and Fireteam. I got a lucky quadrant roll and so got one on my side, while he needed to control the one my fireteam ended up sitting in. The autocannons didn’t do a whole lot; came out of hiding and hit an azri’il, but it took both of them over the game.

@TriggerPuller9000 I think you are depending a bit too much on the camo markers and not enough on aggressively winning the mission. Your camo markers might start in quadrants, but they have to stay there to score, and many of them are awfully squishy once discovered. You have the two tankhunter, but they are pretty bare-bones profiles for hmg. Secondly, and this is just my opinion, but I really don’t like filling up with volunteers and traktor muls that can’t really get things done. Finally, compared to your list, the chasseur & uxia are the only things that really aren’t in TAK. Streloks can cover the minelayer job decently well, and I’m not sold on Uxia in this format anyway.

Overall, it was a fun mission that made me think outside the box. I really had to have a clear plan and make it happe.
