We've had some confusion locally about how the Hack Communications rules work in Deadly Dance.

Hack Communications has the "attack" label, and in the requirements refers to itself as a "skill", but it doesn't actually say what kind of skill it is. Then, in the effects, it talks about all specialists that are in base contact, and doesn't reference the need to have declared any skills.

Is this something that just automatically happens at the beginning of these rounds if appropriate specialists are in base contact with the objectives, or is it a skill that has to be declared in the prior turn?

Looks like they changed their mind part way through writing.

As it reads - Specialists must be in btb with Antenna. This effect is automatic and takes place before the tactical phase, so doesn't require orders or generate AROs. I would assume the attack/skill keywords are there to rule out imm-1/imm-2/etc troops from being able to participate.
