Sorry for reviving this, but I'd like to ask about the Holo2 situation.

For normal Hacking Devices we know that tthe following questions answer "No, No, Yes" but Cybermines do not have the Hackable target reveal mechanic. The most important question is the last one.
Does a Cybermine trigger on a Kanren FO disguised as a Kanren KHD?
Does a Cybermine trigger on a Kanren FO holoecho disguised as a Kanren KHD?
Does a Cybermine trigger on a Kanren KHD's plain holoecho?

Even if there were cyberminelayers, it would be on the owner of the cybermine to declare 'Cybermine Comms Attack' when a marker moves into the cybermine's trigger area. At that point we would be back to the existing sequence. The moving marker would declare yes/no on hackability. If yes, the mine would trigger. If no, it would resolve the same way as a normal mine where the potential target turned out to be outside the trigger area: the trigger would be canceled because the requirements of the attack weren't met.

I don't imagine there are too many people who would gamble a skirmisher's life against identifying a cybermine. It's more likely that moving through the trigger area would only be done if it was judged to be a worthwhile risk, just like a normal mine. In the world where cyberminelayers existed, Achilles might take a breath before running through a minefield, but that's the only practical outcome I see.
