The scoring for Cryogenics only gets complicated if both HVTs are in the same quadrant at the end of the game. Which can happen, with Civevac, but it's pretty unlikely. Assuming we're willing to just muddle through it if the HVTs do end up in the same quadrant, you can simplify the flowchart by orders of magnitude by specifying that it only applies if the HVTs are in different quadrants. In that normal scenario: At the end of each round, score 1 OP if your MB is in a quadrant that you dominate (max 3 OP). At the end of the game, score each HVT by either dominating the quadrant it's in (2 OP), threatening it with your MB (2 OP), or threaten it with something else (1 OP) (max 4 OP, 2 for each HVT). At the end of the game, also score 2 OP if you've opened at least two tech-coffins, and 1 OP if you did your classified objective. Simple, although as usual it could have been worded more clearly. And please don't civevac the HVTs into the same quadrant because then scoring becomes a godawful mess.
Agreed. Ideally, I'd have the round scoring listed first and the nested if-then statements indented to show their dependency on the previous bullet-point.
Good point, and now I'm weirdly invested in perfecting the flowchart: At the end of each round (max 3 OP total) Score 1 OP if your MB is in a quadrant that you dominate. At the end of the game (max 7 OP total) Score 2 OP if you've opened at least two tech-coffins. Score 1 OP if you've done your classified or secured HVT. Make sure the two HVTs aren't in the same quadrant. (If they are, sigh in exasperation, abandon this flowchart, and go muddle through the mission PDF to figure out the scoring). For each HVT: score 2 OP if you either dominate the quadrant it's in or threaten it with your MB. Otherwise, score 1 OP if you threaten it with something else.
