As per the title, if you really like the rules/fluff/art for Equipe Mirage-5 but find the actual models a little uninspiring and don't want to wait until CB re-released MMRF for a resculpt, how would you do it?

    My current theory is:

Duroc: Take the Pistol Devil Dog from the USARF box, swap the Pistol for an over-sized Chain Rifle of some sort, green stuff a parachute-pack onto his back. If you're feeling truly saucy...a beret?

I'm favouring the Devil Dog because he has a righteous combat vest, which the Dog Warriors don't seem to have. Also, it's a slightly rarer model to see on the table so potentially more interesting to look at.

Margot: Want to think about this one a bit more, lazy options include:

    • Minute(wo-)man with AP Rifle, head-swap and greenstuff a Hood (little red riding hood) onto her. Slap an M203 onto the rifle and a Parachute-pack onto her?

    • Vet Kazak with AP Rifle Head-swap. Might make her look super bulky, though.

    • New female Tank Hunter with AP Rifle Head-swap?

How would you do these two trouble makers?

Who's head would you swap for Margot?

I like the actual Margot model, so i just used her.
For Duroc, I used the twin chain-rifle Dog Warrior, then sculpted a vest, goggles, backpack and big knife onto him.

    Oh a conversion question thread!

OccamsTaser on the twitter posted an image with a similar Duroc conversion you mentioned and it looks top notch. It really does look the part. I guess for extra credit you could re sculpt his goggles back on.

As for margot, I do have an image of a current vet kazak with a female head from statuesque miniatures. These head are more 40k scale, so they'd look massive on a infinity mini but they fit the part on the vet. I do believe the narrow range of heads wouldd look less out of place on an infinity mini that's not as bulky as the male vet, and in their veterans set there is one or two that look like a standin for Margot.

I always thought female Strelok would be HI with its heavy armor upper body. Anyway, you could convert her into Margot, think she would be awesome conversion. For Duroc, Devil Dog is better mini to convert, Dog Warrior looks too feral. And Devil Dog is trash, if you have it you probably won't ( and shouldn't ) use it, so convert it into something useful.

    Thanks guys, great ideas there.

Holycannoli, I has completely forgotten about that paint job, I now recall seeing it somewhere. Duroc totally works in that shot. Don't love the Molotok Ranger as Margot but I respect the choice.

I was thinking about a headswap from Warmachine for Margot, actually. Either the Alexia2 head or the new PoM caster, Cyrenia, as their female heads are closer to infinity scale than 40k/Statuesque. PP does a bits service, so it's also easier to get the single pieces you need on demand.

Statuesque do a smaller scale of head for less "heroic" sculpts, btw - so it's entirely possible to get female heads that are in scale with both older and current infinity sculpts.

Way back when, I bought into the kickstarter for Wyrd game's Through the Breach RPG system. I have no idea if the dedicated rpg character kits are around. While a lot of them are odd supernatural stuff, you still a plethora of plastic heads in infinity perfect scale. Wonderful head replacements for many minis... including my PAC tank hunter.

Can also be a useful source if you're squeamish about an order from out of the US like statuesque.

Statuesque miniatures female heads are the absolute business, both in terms of quality, cost, and variety. The fine scale and pulp scale are perfect for old and new scale Infinity respectively.
