DOMARU BUTAI with Chain Rifle Conversion It seems strange that there is not one model in the range that has this most iconic weapon in hand, especially when just about every Domaru has one in it's trooper profile. With this in mind I decided to make my own. Work in Progress pics Spoiler: WIP It may be a long while before I get to paint this guy, as I have many other things in the queue at the moment. Just glad however that I managed to execute this idea I had in my head for a long while.
Oh, there IS a domaru with a chain rifle sculpt, but it's an ancient, venerated, OOP one from N1 Infinity. . Nice update on the model, though.
Nah, just tiny figures. The old Domaru is dwarfed by the current ones. Hence him being a "venerated" ancient - he's stooped in old age.
That was also the 1stgen Chain Rifle sculpt, much bigger than the current ones. I kinda hacked the two I had apart and gave them the smaller Spec-ops chain rifles, then took them back apart to use the chain rifles on Domovoi.
I have a friend working on some full helmets for Minutemen. This is the first design, where the second will be blocky-er and a bit lower tech looking. Going to cast them up for the full team and then use the regular heads for grunt conversions and stuff like that.

Well this is something I'd never thought I'd see. Good job on making something familiar and turning it distinct & unusual.
That is a MUCH cooler Ratnik. Getting rid of the silly Warmachine-looking trenchhammer is a good first step, and the gun brings it the rest of the way.
If you're going to throw a hammer around, the lore says you're going to be "mighty thor" for a while afterwards ... "You're thor? You thould thee the other guy ..."
