Hi, after at least two years of not playing the game i met up with a friend for one match, and he had an even longer pause. So we went trough the rules before game but we agreed on applying n3 rules if we were to get stuck. So here is few questions/sanity checks, thank you for answers and i'm sorry, i went trough wiki and erratas but i got stuck on few lines on text so i tought asking here is gonna be a good complimentary measure for me browsing the forums. Are impetuous orders obligatory but you can choose to not activate their impetuous order? Does the "take away two orders from the order pool for your first round" command token usage applies now to lists with one combat group? Can you form fireteam duos in vanilla lists without need for EVO (that doesn't has the program anymore, i think)? bonus question: Fireteam Duo declares movement. Model A from this FT at one point of it's route is in 2in of the enemy model. Enemy declares Dodge. Fireteam declares shooting the enemy. If the Enemy would win the roll, can he engage the model A and if so, where would it ends up? Cheers, people And thank you for help in advance
1) No, you can choose not to use the Impetuous activation, there is no "Extremely Impetuous" any more. 2) Yes, between things like NCO, Tactical Awareness, Strategos, and Lt+2 a single combat group can get effectively far more than 10 orders now, and with lists being capped at 15 troopers single combat group lists aren't at as much disadvantage as they were against 20+ order groups 3) No Duos in Vanilla at all currently, this may change with the Fireteam rework when it comes. 4) Forget everything about N3 Engage, it's gone, out the game, forgotten. You can now Dodge into Silhoette contact, so if your opponent finishes their move within your Dodge range you can use your Dodge Movement to get into contact just like a normal move. If they finish their move outside of your Dodge range even if they were closer at some point, you are limited by your Dodge distance and can't reach them. No more interceptions or being placed by the opposing player.
