Yeah, I'd be completely ok with the sectorial-specific units/profiles, but I rather like it as a conceit for the mixed faction.
On the other hand, why would the EI bother sending them through the wormhole for what's supposed to be a massive joint op?
That's a question that MAF and SEF fundamentally fail to answer anyway, so I'm not that concerned. As they've added more first person CA background stories we see both joint and separate operations, so I don't specifically see a reason that some Morats with more-than-paramedic training couldn't come over as part of their forces. As long as the unit won the right to participate, the Morat Aggression Force will happily ship them out, and I don't think the EI is going to step in and forbid their presence. Edit: to clarify, I wouldn't be interested in a Morat doctor that was just a vanguard with the Doctor skill for plus one or two points. This would need to be a unit that was interesting and distinct in its own right, that just also included one or more profiles with the doctor skill. Much as a Kurgat stands out when compared to a Clockmaker, Machinist, etc.
While hard to take seriously I love how all of the unit descriptions reads like a used car salesman’s pitch.
Morat doctor with Medjector (because for most Morats it would actually be better odds to heal on PH than WIP12) for 18-19pts. Shas should get a Tensho doctor profile for 20ish. Make them both sectorial exclusive. Done.
My hope for N4 is that Charontids, Skiavoros and Avatars get added to Onyx. I'd hate to see MAF discontinued just so these things have a sectorial home, and they fit aesthetically. I'd happily drop any of the morat and shas units to make it happen although I am sure some would rather die than lose noctifiers.
I would love that too but those are the heavy hitters of the EI while Onyx is a fast and striped down attack force. Doesn’t really fit the MO although I guess the Overdron doesn’t either.
This is very much what I wanted Onyx to be when we started seeing previews of all the new bio-robotic units. As much as I still want to play that sectorial, I highly doubt they're going to just gut and recreate Onyx. Also, I don't get your comment about MAF being discontinued, because they were still actively releasing resculpts of Morat units, right up until the point that the new SEF launched.
I think there are no need to add aspect to sectorials. Onyx require some units correction, some wildcard unit, nco, more Fireteam options, etc
Hello Would it be possible to make the Gwailos available in Vanilla for the N4? I say this to allow the player who has obtained Wildfire to use all their miniatures if they want to play Vanilla. Because Wildfire is the only box where we have to start with a sectorial, the others have a theme but we can use all the figurines in their factions Vanilla. And for new players, for me, starting with a sectoral is much more difficult than starting in Vanilla because of the rules in addition to Fireteam. Translated by ImTranslator
Gwailos were intentionally left out of vanilla after Shas rework, so I wouldn't count on N4 change here. It's possible, but unlikely.
I think you guys are forgetting what Morat Doctors are..... "So what seem to be the problem?" "I grazed my leg." "We will have to amputate. Fetch me my sledgehammer."
NCO for all the Aspect without Lieutenant status. To represent the connection to EI. Then, we need to have a sectorial dedicated to Aspects. Or start putting those profiles in dedicated sectorials. One of the two. Skiavoro => Morat Anathematic => Shasvastii Charontid => Onyx Avatar => Anywhere
Morat Doctors strike me more as the mad scientist, self experimenting type than caring healers, much how like Kurgats love building weapons and blowing things up, the engineering skills are a side effect of their passions. A Morat doctor with Metachemistry, high PH, Frenzy, and poison would be ace. Almost a Specialist Krakot.
This doesn't really match with my experience. Polynikes has gotten loads of mileage out of the Skiavoro and Avatar.
