    1. YAY MORE CHAKSA! Chaksa are part of why I wanted to play Tohaa.

    2. What the hell is a Longarm? First thing that popped into my is an old west sheriff. Not sure how I feel about a Chaksa riding into town on his horse with a cowboy hat, chaps, and spurs. I might have to wait for the miniature to decide.

Probably the big gun platform. Long arms traditionally are shotguns and rifles Vs small arms /sidearms. Given the lack of heavy gun platforms shown so far, I'd guess at some bigger chaksa dudes with bigger guns

I am thinking these could be similar to what the Traktor Mul Kuryer were for TAK, so just the heavy weapon options from the Auxiliars but with better BS, and maybe a different skill or two.

I'm secretly terrified that they'll just be chaksas with very long arms. Because y'know. Client species to a race of bioengineers.

However assuming they are big gun chaksas, I am hot to trot for that. Very much looking forward to seeing the profiles.

On an unrelated note, @Cothel mate you made a million of these threads before we even have full rules for the new stuff. Just being prepared, or trying to drown out some of the ridiculousness in the negativity threads? :P

Both. And I missed having the Tohaa section of the forums being this lively...

Maybe the name is ironic and they're T-Rex style creatures?

I have no idea of what to expect from this guys. After all, the Chaksa Auxiliars are already carrying heavy weapons (HMG and Smart Rocket Launcher). The only thing bigger I can think of is the HMC, or something like that.

That would give the Sectorial the much needed long-range Firepower support without being very powerful, as Chaksa so far are capped at BS11 and only have Mimetism when they are tied to a Tohaa.

im sticking with my theory that they are chaksa who can cast the spell "longarm" which would let them attack anyone in cc within 8".

also i am fully aware that this is an absurd theory. and yet i will still plan on using them and will prolly be doing a write-up on this unit based on this theory.

Given it's position in the list, it's either an HI, TAG or SK. I'd expect a Chaksa in either symbiont or human designed powered armour and big guns. Who needs an HMG when you have and HMC.

Consider the sectorial we've seen so far. Ignoring the Anaconda, cos it's trash... We have 1 HMG - Neuro Chaksa - and no Missile Launchers. Our heaviest armaments otherwise are Snipers (multi and viral) and Spitfires (Neema, Reex).

Hoping to see these dudes with HMG - or maybe an AP Spitfire borrowed from Gorgos - and missiles. Hoping it's on an armoured Chaksa dude so they can weather some return fire.

Spitfire on the Rasail. In the old times, we only had her.

Before even that we used the Gao-Rael Spitfire (or the Ectros HMG).
Well, I still use the Gao-Rael Spitfire, tends to work surprinsingly well for me even without Smoke combo.

In my heart of hearts I hope for slow movement but forward deployment, average ballistic skill, big guns and full auto or some equivalent horrific force multiplier.

I will not actually get this. But I hope.
