You’re arguing under a misapprehension mate.
I’m actually not saying ditch the pistol & CCW double up.
I’m saying that adding skills and equipment to C1 profiles that might be useful in N4 profiles or for pure fluff reasons is counterproductive and opposite to the design brief to make a simplified rule set.

But the list only checks for c1 only... you really didnt bother reading it huh...

It helps nearly every unit of pano to give it meaningful options in 8"/cc range
Its an ez to check decision.
    It helps fluff.
    It helps transsion to n4.

Like seriously. How much easier do you want c1 to be? Its a much better read and overall more cohesive then the old 2player rules. It introduces hacking much earlier than in the past (only advanced rules had it and not printed) and nobody challenged that decision.

Note that Pistols can be very useful for Missions.

You do not always want to kill the other guy, some Classifieds require unconscious Troops or are easier to perform on them. Keeping things alive is also good or for mission Requirements like Hunting Party.

This might not be obvious or useful in the context of C1, but will matter once you graduate to N4.

FFS. You have such a bee in your bonnet that you’re completely missing the point and keep strawmanning me. Have fun with that.

    Your point:
I had directly referred to ccw&pistol being an n3/n4 thing. And a fluff thing. True. But i noticed how i might derail the thread and gave c1 pistol&ccw a proper analysis to prove their viability as c1 content :
@ijw explaining how a change cant really work for c1:
Several other pll have pointed to c1 specific benefits: the benefits of ccw for cc specialist/ the benefit of pistols for longrange profils/

And other ppl have pointed to transitional benefits: its mission being playable with c1 rules/ fluff being a thing/ units built around pistols+template weapon being a thing.

This discussion always was about ccw&pistol. Its not a hard concept. It has easy to grasp benefits. It has its place in c1.

I don’t give a fuck about your patronising tone, but FFS.
Stop trying to convince me that ccw+pistol has a place BECAUSE I NEVER SAID IT DIDN’T.
I said ADDING EVERYTHING THAT COULD BE RELEVANT TO N4 OR HAS PURE FLUFF JUSTIFICATION TO C1 PROFILES IS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE IN THE CONTEXT OF SIMPLIFYING C1.
Just stop harping on it, because you’re not even wrong, you’re having a different conversation.
