From the first look - I will look later deeper into the survived old sectorials - I think Varuna is well transisted into N5. Kamau had a nice and versatile refresh with MSV1 on HRL, Panda on Hacker, Triang and Sensor on FO. Varuna Orcs have warhorses now ;-) a lot of nice details and some crazy stuff in Ariadna. Moblots - even if they look to clumsy for that - with Dodge +1 SD (I would love to see this in Yu Jing) on PH14.
You can and I can say yes. But then again, I really have no skin in this game because I play none of these lol. I'm glad they pulled it off. I haven't of course seen everything yet. I already miss-read that Drago had Immunity (continuous damage) not CD added to the HRMC. That would have been insane!
Vanilla Pano got even better with the changes to Zulu-Cobra, Swiss Guard, and Aquila Guard (which now can match their fluff). Their changes help Neoterra looks solid and Hexas bring the fluffy counter intelligence. Caledonia and MRRF look pretty good with the changes they now have.
It's the first time in 15+ years that MRRF is actually looking good. Good to see loups with riot stoper and briscards with climbing plus. Those are the type of skills and gear they should have had since the beginning.
Most are changes that affect all armies they are in, some have additional localized profiles like ZC (LT and MMR).
For clarification, while Vanilla PanO does not get the new Sectorial profiles, they got the universal changes like all Zulu-Cobras gettings assault Pistols and the Hacker getting pitchers, the Locust getting hidden deployment and surprise attack (-3), and Aquila Guard getting ECM: Hacker -3, Deactivators, 6-2, multi Pistols, and access to disco balls and PS: 6 Multi-marksmen rifles. It is truly a time to be alive as a PanO player.
Correct, no new units and some profiles are unique to the sectorials introduced, but benefit from the ambient unit changes to units they already had.
I absolutely second this! Lost my old Dragao in a move somewhere between n2 and now, would love to get my hands on a new one (and some other SAA bits) without playing scalper prices.
Love the changes to MRRF too. Only quibble I have is what happened to the HMG Zouave ? I own the model and it kicks a** and it would be a pity if I can't field it anymore. Since the sapper sniper is still a thing, I'm just hoping it's an error.
MRRF was always the force I'd love to paint, but I'm actually beyond my capacity for armies (I've set it at 7, and, well, following the disappearance of StarCo last year, I have started Dahshat in the meantime). That being said, I'm afraid you'd be forced to downgrade your Zouave HMG Saper to basic Zouave HMG. Happened to a couple of the models I own, too (eg. my 1.gen Ragik HMG and 2.gen Hellcat HMG both now field as their respecitive Spitfire loadouts, since HMGs are no more...).
The Zouave HMG is actually on a larger base to accomodate its Sapper usage. That particular piece simply can't be used as an S2, sadly.
are you sure? The old Cateran came with a 40mm base, even if he doesnt have the sapper rule, but you could acomodate him in a 25mm base if you dont use all the stairs scenery. Maybe something similar can be done with the zouave?
