I would probably drop Husam for a FO Farzan and a couple more Mutts. That also lets you upgrade your fiday to the fiday with AP mines. Also, I would drop one Kameel for another Daylami. Its best to have them in 3's in my opinion.
I would drop yasibir, ghulam fo and lasiq for additonal Daylami and Mutt, ghulam ML and switched farzan to FO. And that shouldbe enough for Ayyar, no? I dont do math well.
Not really. Just thought of a list, which can both tilt my opponents and complete objectives. Would consider Yasbir to Farzan FO switch and getting Ayyar/More Daylami. That should be fun. Don't have any more Mutts. Felt dirty using 3 of them, so sold them, except for one. Also don't have Ghulam ML/Sniper
So this is for the upcoming Beasts of War thing? I just finished listening to the Mayacast thoughts on it, and one thing stands out. The missions may (anyone heard anything more?) be fixed. In that if you play at a given location you will need to play the specific scenario outlined in the download. A couple of them have er, environmental hazards, that will make things awkward for you.
While I get that Infinity tends to be more personal and social even on competitive level (unless your meta goes really tryhard) and it's often a conscious choice not to follow Sirlin's advice, I would like to point out that it's not like HB / Haqq as a whole win one big tournament after another even though people claim that ghazis in particular are in a league of their own when it comes to unit power. Besides, I believe (maybe wrongfully though) that without them, or "cheap spam" in general HB specifically struggles against some things you might encounter, especially if you consider that most of your signature units are basically glorified line infantry with slightly bigger guns / fancier deployment rules / marker state / slight chance to last for 0,5-1 orders more. You kinda need answers to alpha, heavy visual mods, fatties, tokens and stuff like that, and almost always the best answer is Ghazi.
Agreed. I think too many view ghazi as an isolated unit. This is far from the truth. They are great, don’t get me wrong, but they are tempered by the rest of Haqqislam.
I agree with @oldGregg. All too often I think people evaluate the power of a unit based on the faction they play, not the faction it comes from.
I think they are under-priced grossly for what they do, and arguing they are needed as a low cost option just underpins the limitation in the faction design. That said, for now the faction has not been designed without the low cost Ghazi in mind, so not taking them is a hanycap. They are powerful no doubt, but they arnt game breaking, just power tilting. Unless its a new opponent if they went against HB or Haqq Vanilla without a plan to counter ghazi, its on them.
