Wotan was basically CA and PanO fighting in a corner and then Nomads/Haqq vs YJ/Ariadna/Aleph. So you're revealing your biases.
I bet it's an ancient lost ringtone file from an undetermined time period that could be anywhere from the 1960s to the late 2010s....
I think the final phase of Wotan was "Ariadna VS THE WORLD!!!" But, yeah, for the first part there was a lot of whining (mostly from Ariadnan commanders) that not enough people were attacking PanO (basically only the Combined Army was at the time).
CB is getting my hopes built up up and up. Please don't do this to me! But yeah, would be nice to see Teutons get some love.
Has anyone thought that the Teutons might get squated? Perhaps that would be for the best considering it is better to not have a unit that is dead weight in any faction. Maybe replace them with better knights like the Order of St.Lazerus aka the Leper Knights. Make each of them be wounded veterans from across PanO fighting for the Hyperpower with artificial limbs. Perhaps have the Teutons become the Order of St.Lazerus through contracting an alien disease that eats away at the body. Forcing the replacement of limbs over time and eventually a Lhost to continue their service to the Catholic Church.
Well MO has some problem which could be solved with Squatting. Important and telling is a fact if we will see any resculps of other Knights.... They are technicly supforce of Hopstiallers.
I understand that knowing a bit of history from all eras. Still considering this is Infinity, the Neo-Lazerus Knights could come from another order if need be/possible. Having some Hospitaller Knights contract something on Paradiso can also work out. I'm surprised that we haven't seen a new MO starter set yet. We got Acontecimento but NCA & MO need one desperately. Perhaps MO's has been held back until 2019 since we are going to have the German Knights at the forefront in this new story for ITS.
We might see a slight MO revamp when Varuna hits as there still is the adjustment "patch" coming at the same time. They're still fine to play with, so I don't mind waiting as long as they'll eventually get addressed.
An updated starter box isn't quite the same as a new sectorial, but at the same time CB do have a habit of focusing on one sectorial per faction for about a year. MO may wait a little while due to Varnua splashybois.
The Order of St Lazarus exists in Infinity, it's a part of the Hospitaller Order that imprisons sepsitorised people, providing security to their secure facilities and researching possible defences or ways to break the indoctrination.
This has been your daily reminder that the Combined Army are bastards who deserve a good extermination.
I don't remember ever reading that. Thanks for pointing that out. For curiosity sake, where is this info stated?
I'd be surprised if the Tuetons went away. If you've been playing a long time, they're a very iconic Order... They've been in the MO starter box forever (for better or worse) and they were much more popular/prominent in N2. Even with all their shortcomings in N3, it's nice too that they're the only Order that's seriously threatening in close combat, short of getting dogpiled by 3 Magisters. Considering MO is one of three Sectorials that's full of Guys with Swords, it's quite bad in CC. Tuetons at least get to look good at CC on paper.
@barakiel Maybe that is why CB hasn't redone the MO starter yet? Considering that the order is going to be at the forefront of next season's plot/story it would surprise me for them to join the Templars in being papal bulled. The last time an order was accused of strange rituals we know how that went. Therefore in my eyes it doesn't look good for the Teutons unless there is a shake up concerning them instead of a expunging.
That would be interesting. There's a lot of ways CB could go here. Tuetons going rogue... Teutons becoming heros... Tuetons getting revamped and becoming a reward for the faction that wins the most xenotech objectives within a set time limit, similar to what we saw last year.
The mid-season event, where the winner was able to avoid having a special character temporarily pulled from the roster. The specifics were odd, but I really liked the concept of a mid-season event where the winner receives a slight in-game effect or bonus.
There was "alive hacker group" mercenaries available to all factions (bar CA), KHD, AHD, HD with some equipment (Holo1, EM, Emarat etc.). Winner of last year ITS ranking could chose which faction they will join (one of them) for "ever". Winner decided that Bit&Kiss will join CA.
