What with the Cadmus rules rewrite, I'm wondering if they can take the place of a Speculo killer in lists which would traditionally take them. With decoy shenanigans, you could very reliably get a safe dropzone close to the enemy by targeting a point just outside 16" from their board edge, and decoy'ing to a safe spot. Upsides: Red Fury and chest mines in the opponent's DZ. Downsides: A worst-case dispersion will leave your Cadmus >8" outside the DZ, requiring more orders to get in and get your Morpho-scan off. Thoughts? I don't have enough experience with the Speculo to know if this is worth it.
The Cadmus is just as good at getting there, but there'll a lot of situations where you'll find yourself wanting the Speculo's smoke, marker state, and CC ability. The Speculo is just much better at moving around on the enemy side of the table. That being said, fuck it, why not just take both? The red fury will be able to clean out pieces in awkward positions for your Speculo and the Speculo can use the opportunities the Cadmus makes to put a boarding shotgun/mono sword in the face of whatever you want dead.
