That was the idea. They are cyber-spiders from Puppets War. They had more "necron-like" models, but discontinued almost all. They have also interesting heads/helmets options, but I think the are mostly in WH40K size. https://puppetswar.eu/models-and-bits-50/sci-fi/cyberbots/cyber-spiders.html
That is where I thought they were from. I have some of their heads and yes they are larger than infinity heads but can still work. Helmeted heads work great as the extra size of the head looks like it's because fo the helmet. You can use all Puppetswar non-helmeted heads on your force and it will not look out of ordinary. Only when you use smaller heads from other companies. Mad Robot Miniatures & Statuesque Miniatures Pulp sized heads work well with Infinity's scale as they are more similar in scope. https://madrobotminiatures.com/ http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/ Statuesque is having a 10% off coupon code: "lockdown". Both sites have more than just heads so take a look. Mad Robot is more in line with 40k. I don't know about Statuesque's model size but I'd think their weapons and bodies would be worth trying out.
Package from Statuesque just came to me yesterday. I took some veterans and standard pulp heads. They are perfect. I also talk with friend about printing 3D some Nomad weapons for Me. I think form Nomads Puppetswar heads look a way too big. It's more than 2 mm difference in size compare to Nomad Helmets in models like Prowler or Intruder. But I have some other Idea for use PuppetsWar bits.
The Helmet heads can get by due to the extra size being attributed to the helmet on the human head. Try sizing one up on a model (using bluetac) and place it next to another miniature with Infinity or Statuesque head.
I'm alive and back online. A little WIP for now. My standard Bakunin painting pattern with a twist... I test more contrast paints. Here on white base only black Ion base boots, and as base for metallics, red and gun (on metallic) but I will ad some layers on green with contrast too. More to come shortly. I still test on Bakunin until I will start Black-Green Tunguska force.
Next step on Prowler. Working on use of TMM and contrast to work faster. Around 6-7 hours of work. Still WIP but close to finish. Needs maybe some more highlight and shades here and there. View attachment 22740
Finished Prowler. Had some problems with brush and few needed paints (like fluo yellow for lights) but I think it's as good as can be. Added some highlights on pants and webbing. Shaded a little gun and some armour parts.
Few thoughts from this work. I tested on it use of GW Contrasts for My next project - TRON Themed Tunguska. With a little spicy ideas from Altered Carbon I think. I will test this concept on some poor Securitate, so you can expect it shortly. ;-) Lessons learned? 1. I use to highlight with more contrasting light colors. I do it to careful. It's look OK on photo but not good enough on table. 2. I must learn to highlight TMM armor. Now it doesn't work at all. I think it i'm back with 1 point - I'm afraid to use to aggressive highlights and shades on metal. And they blend in to much. So, don't be shy with shades and highlights. 3. Still have problem with fluo paints for OSL. Concept is OK, but My skills (and some times old, to dry paint...) 4. Maybe NMM would be better for TRON/Comic book style army but I love metalics, so... it will be, what will be. Stay tuned Bromands
My alternative for Fast Panda. I don't think that cute "free hugs" panda fits to Tunguska Police/Gangsta/Hacker Force. I introduce you SPIDER - Special PerypherIal Defence Experimental REMote. It's prototype painting. I will pair them with Lunokhod Sputniks. This one will be for red one. SPYDERs with Green head and abdomen will be paired with green REM.
Small steps because I was a little short with time this week. Just another spider. Now I work on REM to team with them.
As I I announced many times, here it is - or more likely She Prototype for my Tunguska colours - Securitate. It's based on standard Tunguska colours, but with few twists, like metallic red for armor vest and green light-lines made in fluo green. Something like I said before, related to Tron: Legacy. Now all lines for fluo are Livery Green for good contrast and solid base (I know how bad cover fluo paint gives), but you can see how it will look. I wanted something in black-red-green colours with bare metals, like my other Nomad models. For Bakunin it was green with red. DFor Tunguska it's black with red and green. What do you think? And what colour I should use for all punches and holsters? Bestial Brown? ( like on my Bakunin - you can see it somewhere in earlier posts) or maybe I should use some blac/gray dark green, or other more uniform with the main colours of Tunguska?
Small update. I tested here grey and brown punches and holsters and I will stay with brown just like in Bakunin models. I also moved to final fluo green. I'm happy with final effect.
WIP Three next Securitate in progress, and My Tech-Ninja/Raul Spector. He will have shotgun on his back and some pistol holster under arm or on belt back. He will be red with green "power armour lights". I wanted Oni-Mask for him but it will end with Demon/Darth Maul face painting.
Some progress and a question... I planned to paint his armour red metallic like Securitates vests but I like how it looks gold/bronze. What do you think? Add red or live it like this?
Ninja - Raul Spector is almost ready. I'm very happy with the Demon/Darth Maul face painting effect. I was sure, that I dont have anymore enough skill to make it. It's not perfect, but good looking. I think I will need to add some jade green or scarf green wash on his arms to pop-up a little texture of "artificial muscles". And also, I need Nomad Boarding Shotgun to place it on his back.
Next model, next WIP. Very close to finish. It need just some highlights and red zigzag on his coat. I'm happy with the effect of red, steel and fluo green combo... just coat doesn't look good enough and I don't have any idea how make it look better. It's kinde of test before I start work with Kriza Borak.
