Oh, those scheming spaniards, they did it again! I was so intrigued by the *chance* of getting some old le mini that I ordered two boxes. And now I'm ashamed of it... So... the two boxes got me: - Le muet with pistols (which is nice, I missed it) + Wild Bill / Ye Mao Panzerfaust + Wild Bill - 2 x Outrage manga. Apparently they printed THAT much or It's nowhere nearas popular as they hoped. - 2 x Classified Deck. Cause an ITS winner apparently really needs one. - Plastic "Secure HVT" (which is nice) - Chibi Jotum anti-stress doll (Eh) - 2 x Two patches + Pin - 2 x Winner Medal - 2 x Two metal orders - 2 x Three S2 markers - SMG keychain - D20 Overall feel:
Exactly why I never go in for these "pay us to clear out our warehouse full of crap" projects that various companies do (warlord are a particular offender)
Yeah, I did. I'll probably give some of the stuff to the guys that run local events. Something around 80$ for both, i think.
That's not too horrible in terms of value. Limited/OOP miniatures tend to go for around 20-30€ online, so if the mangas came with the limited Knauf, you probably got your money's worth plus some clutter to give away.
So this is random older stuff as written in the description. It was also clear, that the comic is in the box. You got 4 minis and some stuff. Some people are looking for the Ye Mao, so you can try to trade or sell. Maybe now are too much Wild Bills on the second hand market ;-) The value for money - apart from the fact that the good stuff is random - is good. Counting a lim ed mini with 20 and the comic also 20 the rest is for free. I bought the old ITS 12 pack for the lim ed Paravati together with a "Blast Box" and I get a bit of bad luck, because most of the random extras stuff doubled with the ITS 12 box. Now I got 2 SMG keychain, 3 Parvati Pins and two winner medals. I got Cube Jaeger and Victor Messer - sadly the last one is not playable in Onyx with is my last CA army (maybe I sell them, because I have to much other sectorials to paint, but this is personal bad luck). The comic is already sold and I try to sell Victor. Is this a win? No ... but I was a little bit excited and will use most of the stuff to help out my local warcore if we can run a litte turnament again. I don´t think, I´ll risk a second box. I could use Fiddler or the O yoroi - but in the end 40,- € ist too much for a gamble. I was against this blind box thing, but bought one anyway ;-) A couple of people from my local community orders some boxes and I am courious what they will get.
Hey now, that plush jotum mini is damn sweet. Though it won’t sell for love nor money on eBay… if you don’t want your dice, I’ll take them, lol. I’m always looking for different coloured infinity D20s to add to my Parvati dice tin. But I digress. I bought two as well to pay my teef and take my chances. Was hoping for the O Yoroi but no. Still quite happy though. It was rather nostalgic seeing some of the stuff.
What did you get? I really hope that someone who got one of the craved ABH 2014, max scorpio , krakot or toni will post it here.
They gave away the 2014 ABH to attendees at the 2017 Gen Con seminar, my first time at Gen Con was 2018 :(
It's a one-off cute gimmick to get rid of old stock at random chance. If this is going to be an ongoing thing I would be pretty bothered. Also if it puts more LE models on the secondhand market for cheap from people who bought too many, better for me.
Sorry for the late reply, I got a Le Muet and wild bill in one and Parvati and armoured Bounty hunter in another! I got the Parvati dice tin too as well as a bunch of badges and patches. Oh, the coins too! Gave the other two to my friend to use. There looks to be a mix of stuff from what I can see from other people which is pretty cool. You don’t have to buy them, no one’s forcing you to. It’s entirely up to you. Those of us that bought them were happy to. I have no issue supporting a company that I enjoy the miniatures of, it’s my way of saying “thanks for the really nice toys”. Though I doubt I’d go for it if this happened more often. I can buy other things that I know are in the box instead of taking a chance (fun though it was). I’ve never really been too keen on the idea of loot boxes, as @csjarrat mentioned, a number of companies do this, Warlord games being one (though they’re incredibly nice to talk to and are very helpful with their stuff) and it can get annoying especially if you’re not really looking for a mixed bag. If you’ve got the cash spare though and feel like rolling the dice so to speak then why not? A little lottery with miniatures seemed like fun to me this time around. I probably won’t go for it again though and like @Urist I hope it’s not a regular occurrence. Now and again wouldn’t be so bad especially If I’m actively looking to buy prizes for a tournament which these types of things seem to suit, then I’d possibly go for it again.
