Warsenal, Mantic, Sarissa, Privateer Press. The Warsenal ones are always super popular and sometimes have unique prototypes or unreleased stuff in the.
Check out Monstrous Makings, he used to work for Antenocitis Workshop and has CAD sculpted a whole load of Infinity weapons, you can buy printed ones or get the .stl files.
Oh, nice! Thank you. I’ll probably get the .stl files, I can print them whenever I want then. Edit: I’m assuming that these don’t infringe on Corvus Bellis IP but if they do I’m assuming they are supported much the same as all the stuff Antenocitis, micro arts et al produce stuff for Infinity. Just to check as I’m paranoid.
To go back to the leak of new releases: I like the look of all of them. But I can't help that every month CB doesn't release Tian Gous or Karhus activates my nerd rage a little more. I just can't wrap my head around it. What's going on in their heads? Yes, new Shang Jis and Jujaks and Vargar etc. are nice, but they all already have at least one model. Why on earth do these units keep getting prioritized over the only two units from these sectorials that don't have a single mini yet? For almost two years now? Why, CB? I don't even play any of these factions and it makes me so mad XD I was very happy to finally see Long Yas and the designs for the Fuzzbots though. Those had triggered similar feelings this last year :P So good on CB for that :)
ITS goodies, a couple of miniatures and the Outrage manga... for its cost, it's a nicely priced product, and revealing the contents at the end of a tournament can be fun. But I'm against loot boxes. Anyway, does anybody remember how just a few days ago many of us were complaining about profiles creep? Well, here's the answer: no new profiles and just old models XDDD
This actually made me laugh, well done. Now, if I could get some of those older models as well as what’s in these ITS boxes (acontecimento minis I’m looking at you) I’d be even happier.
I'll just chime in that I love the new rendition of Yuanita, she actually makes me wanna get her despite having the old sculpt. Not so with the monk girl, but eh, if I want one I'll get the 3-part-staff guy so it's all good. I wish all the worst on the loot boxes, though. That's a practice I wouldn't mind disappearing entirely.
I think people are being a bit down on the 'loot boxes'. Its a way to utilize leftover stock from previous editions of ITS and its better than those things just sitting around collecting dust. I also agree that these Vargur look pretty sick. I usually find PanO dull outside some of the knights. For some reason these guys are quite compelling
If they were a monthly thing, or even every 6 months, I'd be giving them a significantly larger amount of shade, but there's nothing really wrong with a one-off "We don't have enough of each item to justify creating a few dozen extra SKUs, and don't want to make more so lets clear then out in blind packs"
Yeah. I am hugely against it as a permanent addition to the catalog. But this seems like a win-win solution to the problem of excess stock and people who missed out. Though really I imagine many sculpts go from the box to the secondary market which is a bit iffier for me - better to sell direct.
I'm pretty sure CB don't do direct only minis as they want to avoid a two-tier retail system. Independent stores are pretty much the lifeblood of most tabletop games, a large amount of player recruitment, event organisation, weekly hobby nights, etc are organised by them. Most game companies actually want to avoid people buying direct and supporting their local stores, in fact Privateer Press saw significant backlash when they tried to encourage direct sales. It's also a big reason why we have armies rotating out of production and the Code One range. It's not about production capacity, it's about the shelf space needed for an independent to stock the Infinity range, and having a "Core" product for stores that just want to dip a toe into Infinity.
I think what’s been said here is pretty much the very way that most miniature companies or tabletop manufacturers view things. They want the independent sales as it’s not only a point of income for them but also a form of advertisement that they don’t have to really pay for.
Eh, you have miniatures for them, good ones too. Toni Macayana was dead before she even got a miniature!
Dammit… was hoping no one would bring that up! But agreed. Even now the lasiq models have stood the test of time.
Gotta admit I had looked at trying to get the Tony Macayana Tickbalang when I saw it, even though I don't play PanO. Thankfully the Lasiq's do still look great so any update would need to be pretty awesome. If they update them with the same passion they put in with the Beyond Fiday and Ragik, they should look spot on (sad that I can't say the same about the HB Starter, which I wasn't so keen on). As for the loot boxes, I guess a good thing would be bringing more more of these elusive models to the second hand market. Even if that does become a case of 'who has the most money to spend'.
