The second list does look like a ton of fun, even minus the Soldiers of Fortune. I'm relatively new to Bakunin, but I had a couple thoughts about LI that I'd like to share and see what people think: First, Bakunin Uberfallkommando seem like they'd be very useful in this format. It's pretty much guaranteed that the opponent will have something big and juicy for them to run down, and they provide three "throwaway" models that are otherwise hard to come by with a single combat group. Second, hacking seems like pretty high value, for some of the same reasons as above. Hefty, hackable models seem like a given, and may even be central to an opponent's game plan. Might this be a good opportunity to run hacker-heavy and lock down the board? Third, I would worry far less about Saito and far more about Raoul Spector. Saito will throw some smoke around, press some buttons, and maybe kill a couple models in the midfield; Spector will casually obliterate half your order pool if you give him an opening. And preventing openings for AD is one of the biggest challenges of LI, in my experience. I echo what others are saying when they mention he's a pretty good fit for Bakunin, who lack AD with teeth. But more than that, I would be very wary of his potential presence in virtually any opposing list. Unfortunately I don't have much more insight than that. As previously mentioned, I'm a bit new to Bakunin and still exploring what the faction has to offer. But I'm quite interested in the thoughts and lists people have to share for this thread.

Here's a good bakunin trick to LI. bring a meteor zone and jump aggressively beside the enemy HI and Tag. Within 8 but out of LOS. You don't need to worry about change of face aros. They can watch. He's in hot water. Cue the hackers. Isolate everything. I like reverend custodes. If you went evo coordinated order then possess any tags. One order to put him in melee with the meteor zond is a big hilarious punch. It'll eat a command token to unposses, hide the zond in melee, and waste orders getting free. He tries to melee with the tag just electric pulse and hack him in aro.

Fortunately he could only shoot the Reaktion Zond unconcious, destroy the Fiday threatening Koala and shoot Avicenna in NWI. the Fiday himself was unable to harm Uhahu. In my turn Uhahu took bloody revenge by critting the Fiday unconcious. Fun Fact: so far only two times a Fiday was able to harm one of my troops at all, JabJab always just died. Further the Taskmaster tried to shoot down a Asawira with Spitfire who revealed himself as the infamous Ayyar (the model I did paint for him) wounding my Lt. (as it always happens with models I paint or gift my frieds/opponents) further my genious attept to kill the Ayyar with my BSG Prowler failed too. Now his 2nd Ragik comes in and in addition to surviving several unopposed shots that guy is able to render my Lt. unconcious*. Also the Ayyar advances and the heavy weapon Govads stand up. Beginning in LOL my first action is to heal the TM with Avicenna. Then some deployable repeater and E/Mauler shenanigans as well as a failed hacking attempt by Uhahu followed. In the final Turn my opponent's doctor cleard my repeater as well as my zero and the E/Mauler followed by a further advance towards my HVT during which the doc did open two panoply crates. Now the time of Saito has come. Unfortunately there were some Govads in his way thus the Spitfire Prowler had to clear the way which was successful after four of my remaining six orders the final two ordes were then spent in a failed surprise shooting with the Asawira Doctor as target. So the game ended with a win 4:2* for me. Conclusion: I think I have to find an alternative for the Reaktion Zond or I have to sacrifice one camo troop for a Clockmaker (or maybe a Kaplan Engineer) For Supplies I chose my bunch of Nuns** together with Armand. The perfect chance for my Moderator Paramedic to shine (initially the plan was to use her as healer for Le Muet. But one has to adapt) so I spent eight orders in her to retrieve the supply box and further to run back and hide on a building's balcony (failed the roll at the coffin twice on a 18 and a 19 though, bummer) the remaining two orders were spent to lay a mine with the Minelayer Zero and to put him in Supp. Fire. Opponent's turn was basically spending orders to knock Le Muet with his Farzan and the HMG Moira with the Spitfire Asawira unconcious. And I think the Ayyar was shot unconcious by the Zero's Supp. Fire... Second turn was again started by a successful healing. Then Bran (normal infiltrated) advanced towards the opponent's Asawira Haris responsible for the Moira's unconsciousness. Two orders after his arrival both Asawiras were unconcious and Leyla dead - with a surprisingly still alive Bran. My Opponent's answer to this was to move his Muyib link in better position in order to attack my Zero and the Mine close to him which was succesful. Unfortunately most of his link members were placed quite template friendly. Which turned out to be really fatal for the Muyibs in my last turn due to a big Nuns' pilgrimage towards the Tech Coffin in front of the Muyibs followed by a critical speculative E/M-Shot and a final shock ammo salvo from Kusanagi (I have to admit shooting on 20s is fun). Luckily for me the LGL didn't hit otherwise my Rev. Healer would've been in trouble and I might've lost my 2nd Supply Box. My opponent was in retreat and despite his religious troops he had only two regular orders left which he used to kill my LGL Moderator. At the end I won 8:0. Conclusion: If you keep Kusanagi away from Shock ammo she's a real beast. Also the Moderator Paramedic proved her worth (actually nothing one has to convince me of). *) I assume since my Lt wasn't killed during or in a Null state at the end of the game. Right, @ijw? **) @DukeofEarl, AFAIK Kusanagi will be available for the Interplanetario thus I played her.
And I'm still struggling since the remaining high burst options with about 25 points and 1 SWC are scarce.
This is my first idea, Bran and the Moderator will fill the missing Zero's role somehow. Actually my success rate with the E/Mitter is higher than with the E/Mauler :D Rolling dice to place a Dep. Rep. hurts tough. But thanks to the Cateran I could reduce the Troops visible on the courtesy list to three, that's impressive. With some shuffling you could probably get a sin-eater in there. Basically your only option if youre looking for the burst.
Uuuhh, Sin-Eaters... my least favoured troop. For that extra SWC I have to suffle a huge bit :D Propably the Sniper could be worth considering.
MK12 Sin-Eater is actually a really great piece. No need to try and outshoot entire table and this guy has a nice range band of 24, ideal for well place ARO. No SWC tax ;)

In regards to the nuns list, is it known if kusanagi is going to be available to use at interplanetario?
Sooo, after two games of Highly Classified (one was lost by 0:9 the other won by 9:0) some issues with my list were disvovered. the aforementioned lack of redundancy paired with the AHD Zero's major burden in regard of objective grabbing makes the list difficult to play, basically if the Zero dies I'm done. That's too much of a gamble for me in particular because I start using him reluctant. Thus I'll need an FO or 2nd Hacker to divide the load more evenly. the Cateran turned out to be really unlucky since I'm using the actual and painted model... thus I'm considering to swap him out for anoter camo Sniper. The weaponry present is sub par if any better armoured HI comes around (thanks for the trauma Kriza) using Saito is also quite fiddly but if he's able to hit some dudes he'll kill them So I came up with this list now (thanks @nazroth for the Idea with Emily): It feels better ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 AVICENNA Combi Rifle, Flash Pulse / Pistol, Knife. How come the moderator is the LT and not the Taskmaster? In my experience, the red fury is an order-hungry weapon and a public Taskmaster LT performs pretty well. Don't think of it as an extra order for the Taskmaster, think of it as an extra order for Avicenna. She can't co-ordinate and she's competing with him for attention.
I'm totally used to have a Moderator as Lt. that didn't even think about it any further :D But since you mentioned it: even with Emily's ChOC I'm not keen about making the Taskmaster the Lt. he has already a big target on him. Also with the Lt. safe I'm able to use Emily without hesitation since I don't need to rely on her ChOC.
