Yes, I know about this, but if this time they seize control of the ship it would be strange that everybody drinks the cool aid and there is no opposition, specially given that the Observance doesn't seem like they would make the kindest rulers and their views seem like polar opposites from the rest of Bakunin (if we go by "religious zealots"); it doesn't feel right to me that the "freedom" ship would be ruled by a bunch of fanatics and nobody would bat an eyelid.
Sorry RH stands for Ragging Heroes. Lucian bring them fev posts before. Have tons of them from ks. Sadly not La Muerte ones. "To bland and safe", something similar, was going on in Malifaux around new edition. Nekima, Vic Sisters etc. And it was one of fev reasons why I lost interest and left system.
The Zapper looks like 10 € Nerf Gun I wonder why the top leader has to carry a support weapon like LGL by herself but in the end it my useful to use it with BS 14+. So its a good Update I guess.
Because she's leading by example Zapper or flamethrower, both are quite ineffective against her main threats: disposable warbands
Perhaps she simply likes to keep her options open...? And Reverend Superior carries whatever gun she pleases, novitiate! IRL, I've read somewhere than during the Vietnam War the GL (M79, so a rather unwieldly, single-shot, break-open grenade launcher. It has an opinion of being surprisingly accurate and easy to use, though) turned out to be pretty popular as something a commander would carry. It kept it from occupying the hands of someone who could be far better utilized handling a rifle (even at small-unit level, a commander is going to be far more useful shouting his lungs out to direct his troops around than to be just one more rifle in a fight!), and also - with smoke rounds - made a great tool for indicating target areas to Close Air Support and long-range assets (like infantry heavy weapons - mortar teams, HMGs ets - or accompanying armored vehicles).
Observance taking over purifies the corrupt agents aleph had in the bakunin heirarchy and secures the ship's safety. They're also not daft enough to shaft their sources of income which pays for the upkeep of the ship's systems that keeps everyone alive. That way they keep the black labs and freaky shit going to keep the cash flowing in to keep everyone with air in their lungs and the ship's water potable.
All moiras currently have a zapper, so it's likely Cassandra is getting her flamer swapped for a zapper to keep her in line with the basic moira. the E/M Lgl is a pretty good addition, I think
Polite reminder that dossiers don't always reflect final profiles, for example the Kriza Missile Launcher.
Someone finally read the manual and figured that using it in an oxygen rich environment is not a good idea?
If we're talking about boarding action on a small spacecraft, that's kinda true. When talking about fighting insdie of a sizeable vessel, especially a Nomad Mothership, I doubt it would be a really big deal. We're talking man-portable flamethrower, not a thermobaric bomb. There's plenty of air around, and if a fire is started, you can likely seal the compartment and pump the air out: that should put out most fires pretty quickly (except for the ones that rely on incendiaries with an oxidizer already included. Even then, however, they shouldn't be able to ignite other stuff). If we're talking about something happening dirtside, I'm afraid we've been doing it on Earth for over a thousand of years already. And it has proven to be an incredibly effective weapon over short ranges...
