Hello again, here I come with a lore question that a new player asked me and I was left.... O_o? ALEPH aspects have geist? Do you need them? So that? When you make a non-Ariadn character, they give you a geist as a gift, and it is a useful NPC as well as fun to role-play, but after finishing a campaign and mastering again, someone came out who would make an Aspect PC, and we The doubt arose, since the Aspects are a part of ALEPH, they are already capable of doing all the procedures that a normal geist does, so do they even have a geist? What use do you have for these? Does a minor-AI need a minor-AI to manage everyday life things? Is it more of a sub-routine of Aspect itself? As an Aspect of the Aspect? Or at another point, if they have it, how do they interact? How do you see it? How does an Aspect feel when interacting with a "being" that is like an embryonic or false or incomplete version of what one is? Knowing that they could end like this? I appreciate that you clarify or give me your points of view to see how the geist of the Aspects work.
Aspects might be spin-offs from Aleph but they're not LAIs which geists are. So an Aspect using a geist wouldn't be out of the norm. It's a useful application to offload everyday or mundane tasks to. How an Aspect views a geist is going to vary from Aspect to Aspect. Maybe they treat it like a subroutine of theselves or as a best friend.
Totally not backed up by any lore but I imagine an Aspect would use Aleph in a similar fashion to a normal citizen using a geist. So where a human might request their geist to set an away message on all communications and create an alarm for 0700 or ask the geist what the closest place to get noodles is I think an Aspect would be asking Aleph to do those things directly.
