    Hi all,

I am new to infinity and am starting with Spiral Corps.
My goal was to come up with a list that uses as many of the miniatures that I own with minimal proxying (inspired by Bostria's challenge).

    What I own:
    1 Spiral Corps army box
    2 Kaeltar with symbionts
2 Gao Raels (sniper and spitfire)

What I would play: 5.5 SWC, 300P Link here

    Group 1 - 10 orders

    Triad A

Taagma Sniper - Viral Sniper rifle 24
Taagma Tricore - Breaker Combi 20
    Kaeltar - light shotgun 15
    Triad B
    Kiel-Saan - Red Fury 46
    Draal FTO - SMG 33
    Kauri - Paramedic 16
    Triad C
    Kriigel - Smoke/Lieutenant 20
    Reex - Boarding Shotgun 13
    Reex - Boarding Shotgun 13

    Clipsos - Forward Observer 25

    Group 2 - 3 orders

    Kiiutan - SMG, Mines 28
    Kiiutan - SMG 27
    Greif Operator - impersonation 20

    How do I proxy it?

Gao Rael Sniper = count as Taagma Sniper (it's a stretch with the symbiont armor)
Reex HMG = count as Kauri (has a visor..)
Gao Rael Spitfire - count as second Kiiutan Imposter (has a hoodie and symbiont armor)
Hatail (army box) = count as Greif Operator (has D-charges, visor and no symbiont)

    How do I play it?

    Triad A
Taagma Sniper - holoprojected as a Kaeltar
Taagma Tricore - holoprojected as a Draal marksman
Kaeltar - symbiobomb to one Kiiutan and Symbiomate to Draal FTO

The idea here is to play a double shell game:
I cannot hide the presence of the tricore Taagma but I can hide the fact that there is a second Taagma (sniper):
I will disguise the sniper as a Kaeltar and the tricore as a Draal Marksman.
By doing that I aim to achieve the following:
-Let my opponent believe there is only one Taagma (the tricore) and that it is one of the two Kaeltars.
-ARO with a sniper when all the opponent was expecting was a combirifle
-Project a strong attack piece (draal marksman in tricore) that will influence how my opponent plays

    Triad B
    Kiel-Saan - Red Fury
Draal FTO - SMG + Symbiomate
    Kauri - Paramedic

The attack triad: This triad covers all ranges until 32", has two attack pieces, two specialists, 6 wounds, a mate and can use the KAURI to revive whatever is needed to win the mission.

    Triad C
    Kriigel - Smoke/Lieutenant 20
    Reex - Boarding Shotgun 13
    Reex - Boarding Shotgun 13

Kriigel hides and creates smoke screens for the taagma sniper.
Reex escorts protect Kriigel with templates.

    Clipsos
    Pushes buttons.

    Kiiutan
    Kiiutan
    Greif

Act as speedbumps. One Kiiutan gets the symbiobomb

    Bostria's challenge:

Everything I own (save for two Symbios) gets deployed or proxied convincingly!

    What do you think?

Looks like a fun challenge, but personally I’d put the Draal with an AP Rifle in the Tricore as he’s a hellaciously good attacking piece with the 5 man boost. The Kiel Saan doesn’t really need Triad buffs to run wild so you can have him run around while the Kaeltar and Kaauri watch your deployment zone.

Bluffing the AP Marksman Draal is a good trick, but not as good as actually running him IMO.

I would change your groups a bit. Kriigel Triad + 1 Kiuutan or Clipsos as group 2, and everything else in group 1. This gives you a lot more efficiency with group 2 in terms of using your orders that are further up the table.

No matter how hard I try, I can't find the points for the Marksman Draal and staying true to the challenge.

I like the Kiel Saan triad as it has an attack piece that brings its specialists along plus medic and reserve attack piece

    Ah, yes! Good observation:
Kriigel Triad and Clipsos go into group 2:
3 orders is enough to lay down smoke and later they fuel the mad Clipsos runs to score objectives.

This leaves 9 orders for group 1 giving me the flexibility to push my attack triad forward or use my impersonators aggressively.

Only concern is: If the opponent focuses on the impersonators early on I am left with two split order pools. My intention was to play the impersonators mostly as speed bumps (overspend orders to avoid remaining exposed to them)

Keep in mind if you give a Kiuutan a 'bomb you will have to deploy them outside of their marker state. If your primary goal with them is to make your opponent waste orders to be rid of them, keeping them in the impersonation state may be the best option.

Just a thought and can be very table and mission dependent.
