I have a (probably dumb) question: there's a pilot profile for the Chernobog, but as far as I can tell, there's no pilot included in the box? Is that little weird or am I missing something?
Most of the TAGs are shipped without pilots. I think Avatar is the only exception. This way you don't have to purchase a pilot with every TAG, so it's actually cheaper. For factions like Ariadna it might not matter much, but imagine a vanilla PanO player being forced to make a collection of Crabbots...
I wouldn't go that far. Cherno's pilot is a generic LI 4-4- mook with no armour and a smg. Pick another ariadnan with a similar loadout and tissue paper armour and go with that.
Pilots rarely, if ever, leave their TAG (and pilots of TAGs that are not remote presence even more rarely), and this is usually for an order or two so there is no immediate need for a pilot model to be a top concern for you, eventually a model will be made and the pilot models are usually great sculpts to get, but until then a S2 proxy model to have around if you decide that it is safe enouph to go out and do some button pushing with the pilot is sufficient.
