Soooooooo I maaaaaaybe going to a tournament this weekend and one of the missions is Unmasking. Having already played that mission a couple times, I'm thinking I want to play Ariadna with this tournament.

The idea is to flood the field with camo and coordinate up to Antennas, while having plenty of model to get to the true HVT once revealed. Uxia in there to stir the pot as usual and Mirage 5 to....well....you know. I know I'm not taking a lot of heavy weapons, but honestly the last two times I played this, the big guns we're that big of a factor being squishy units to begin with. Also going first or second doens't really matter to me as well. Any critique would be appreciated.

Maybe adding Chasseurs would come in handy with this mission as well?

I don't like Voronin as an LT. On this mission especially, any infiltration your opponent does is even more likely to be aggressively against your DZ due to the exclusion zone, and if they have anyone like an Uxia or Bran, Voronin is an obvious LT with very little defense.

Honestly Specialists and Infiltrators don't do a lot for you on this mission with no classifieds and an exclusion zone. Much more valuable, in my experience so far, are durable Specialists that pack a weapon that can be used to discourage your opponent. The Vet Kazak FO or Paramedic, for example, with an AP rifle. Get up on a console, activate it, and go into Suppression Fire. Also keep in mind if you can Activate all the consoles, you don't really need Specialists at all after that point. Just defend one or two, and hunt down all the HVT models you've revealed.

I see your point of my LT choice, but that is why I went with the Hardcase for guard duty and the TR Muls for flanks and of coarse ARO and Guided. It's a gamble albeit for LT choice, but one that I think could be helpful with that extra order for M5. I'm hoping that's enough deterrent to keep my opponent from thinking about it.

Inferior infiltrating troublemakers (Grunts, Metros, Volunteers) and Uxia gives you a HUGE mileage in missions with exclusion zone. They are not hindered by the exclusion zone, but will slow your enemy down a LOT...
Normal infiltrators are at a big disadvantage, as macfergusson pointed out. And you do need a datatracker that can kill the enemy HVT. How about a Maverick? Pretty mobile, can drop smoke and the Molotok is a pretty evil weapon when it comes to mid-range gunfights.

Thought about some Inferior units a lot. Only problem is relying on them. Uxía you can rely on (80% of the time), but I guess it only takes one to ruin your opponent's day. Maybe I trade one SAS for 2 Volunteers? You're right though, should probably have a more mobile Datatracker. Maverick fits the bill nicely.

I really don't agree with infiltrate and the exclusion zone. You basically set up within 8" of the antenna with your infiltrators. Coordinate one order for 4 of them to move-move... You're there. I've been pretty successful my two games with this maneuver. It doesn't even matter going first or second. In the event my opponent does some infiltration into my half of the board, I'll at least have some crossfire set up.
