I really really like your way of painting noads. This dark red color is awesome and perfectly fits the faction.
To me it seems that this feeling is reflected in your painting results. Please don't take it as a criticism, I'd love to be able to get such a result myself, but after your previous works those looks a bit under in term of polish and details. It looks like you were urged to jump to the next motivating project. Still, great paint job and photo shoot.
It’s true, you are right, I was just keen to get them done quickly rather than spend too much time in them. But it’s also true that the models don’t have that much detail either.
Kaldstrom Yu Jung. Next project prepped and ready to paint: Happy to start the new financial year with this cool project. Let the painting commence!
INFINITY NOMADS CORREGIDOR: Mobile Brigada (Multi Rifle & Light Flamethrower) Mobile Brigada (Multi Rifle & Light Flamethrower) This guy is one of my favourite heavy infantry. I think Mobile Brigada power armour is one of the best looking in the Infinity range. They have this manga, gridiron, Masumane Shirow vibe about them that I really like. I was a bit sad that Mobile Brigada are not part of Tunguska, but no matter as I painted one anyway! Kept him red like the Studio, but darker as is my style. The freehand was not too hard to do and I varied it only slightly from the original. It took about a week to get him finished as it was a little bit tough one on the personal front so I struggled to get him done. All up though this guy was a real pleasure to paint and a fitting end to the Nomads from the battle pack.
INFINITY NOMADS: Operation Icestorm Battle Pack NOMADS: Operation Icestorm Battle Pack So I had no real intention of expanding my Tunguska army in the short term as I thought It would take about 6 months to get my painting queue of Nomads and Yu Jing done. Then I went into a panic late last year when I found out that the Operation Icestorm Battle Pack was going out of production. It was just one set that I always wanted to do when I got into infinity. 6 months later I managed to get everything done (including the Pano guys), thanks largely to the extra time that the Covid lockdown has afforded me. Strange times we live in but good for hobbyists lol! Here is a group shot of all these lovely miniatures.
@archangeleong Congrats on more successful work being completed. And on top of that excellent painting done consistently.
well ther are good sides of Covid -0 like more time to paint minis or lack of turist so water get clear in some places like Venice
Great job on getting the while force done! For me, it took Covid AND my computer breaking down to get me to finish my painting projects
Thanks Bud Clean water is good too! Played plenty of xbox too but no more games at the moment until new consoles :-)
INFINITY PANOCEANIA VARUNA: Fusiliers Fusiliers So had to paint the rest of Operation Icestorm since I had it and thus a tentative step into Pano has begun. These guys were my test models for the Pano green/blue colour and whilst it is a bit strange to mix a base colour all the time I enjoyed working with it. I decided to do them in my version of Varuna colours as I hope to expand into this sectorial someday. Unfortunately the base toppers I ordered are stuck overseas due to Covid-19 posting restrictions so not sure when they will be finished in full. In the meantime I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Fusilier 1 (Combi Rifle) Fusilier 2 (Combi Rifle) Fusilier 3 (Combi Rifle) Link Team
I like how your minis look always like the official scheme, but desaturated to the max. it gives a more serious vibe to these PanO.
I'm in the opposite camp, I like the unrealistic but highly saturated colors on armys. :-) Nonetheless, these Fusis look great as always!
I do too. It varies depending on the wargaming faction and the colors used. Sometimes unrealistic is the better or more exciting choice to go with when looking for a scheme.
