FLGS technically could've ordered it for their retail sales. And the models are supposed to get different sculpt sometime (tm) down the road. Probably early 2013, like Kriza.
I'll answer my own question, 10 unique sculpts. 3 in Defiance, 3 in wildfire, 3 in the Nox box, 1 in the paint set. With the duplicates in Defiance the hardcore Shas collector will end up with 13 nox troops. 11 Zhanshis over 3 years is not unprecedented, and realistically the Zhanshi SWC box moulds should probably be hit with a hammer.
It's not "technically", it was an open offer. My local game store participated. But there won't be more. There are a number of restrictions in place of which I've not bothered to even ask about.
I really wouldn't count anything in defiance as THE sculpt for infinity. saying theres 13 nox sculpts available is misleading
10 sculpts, 13 total nox for the Shas lover. I guess the question would be how you count models. How many Brawlers are there if 2-3 are limited edition?
6 Brawlers, 4 in the box and 2 limited editions (Rifle+LSG and Hacker) Bolts were the previous highest of concurrent sculpts with 9 (3+SWC+Paramedic+Cosplay)
Yeah, I remembered the Uprising and Daedalus ones, but had a half memory of one with a paint set or art book or something. Either way, it was more in reference to MikeTheScrivener saying not to count Defiance Nox as sculpts, so how would you count sculpts that are no longer available for others?
4 general. its really not that crazy for an army to have 3 combi line troops in a starter + 4 in an SWC box. Also don't act like Brawlers are the best comparison, they are neither line troops nor any factions AVA T/bread and butter. These boxes are very much made with the army builder in mind - you'll rarely see a plethora of sculpts for something that isn't meant to be in a link team of 5+
They will most likely include them due to 3 line trooper scrubs with combis is the core of the first few L2P missions in these things. And if they can also be used for sectorial starters moving into N4 past C1 then they may be needed for that.
It's a fair point in not needed but to be fair this first and mostly going to be sold to existing players and secondary a recruiting tool. Not saying that is what they think but what it will be. So 3 core infantry and 3 to 4 other things.
For sure, but for forming up the sectorials there's already plenty of the line troopers out there. I was thinking of it like adding on a sectorial Starter onto an Operation team, but then Tunguska Starter has 3 securitat so I guess the line troops are there too, sure. Dunno!
It wasn't a gotcha moment or anything, it was just fresh in my mind because a friend was asking about the Uprising Brawler. :)
yeah, no worries. I think theres a logical reason, for the most part, to they way CB packs minis. As much as it would be a bummer for 3 combi fusis to be in the new box, chances are that is what it will be (hopefully we get a new line troop)
Hello all, new to the forums but long time player. Something I was thinking, is that they may get an elite LI. Like the Kamau. For white banner something in between the stat line of Zhanshi and Guilang, and something equivalent to that for PanO. Probably some skills that fit with lore, like msv1/mountain terrain. This would give nice LI without repeat of existing new sculpts. Maybe wishful thinking/adding unit bloat. I’m excited either way to see these sectorals.
I hope so, Though it seems like PanO Savl units favor protection over mobility. This is evident in the Nisse, (Kamau counterpart) and the Jotum. I wouldn't be surprised if we got another HI or medium infantry. I hope we see another line troop or something that can link with Fusilers outside of the nisse. I'm also hoping for another skirmisher.
That would be great! Didn’t think about the Nisse being in that roll.. ♂️ Lol not sure how I forgot the original master sniper... But I think those would be awesome additions. CB has done some pretty amazing things with the last several Sectorals. I think SWF and WB will both be amazing if they keep going in the same direction.
