No, it wasnt. But it was implied that somewhere, in some forgotten prairie in Inner Mongolia or something maybe, there was at least an eighth of a rainbow and 1.5 flowers.

    Now we are into genocide.

Now now, not every mass execution = genocide.

Not every mass execution is genocide, but this one is attempted genocide. Attempted because we fail. We already know we fail.

Eh.... Yu Jing fails on Earth. That's what we know. Shentang is different.

Oh, on Shentang we win. Thank god we were able to win on a territory owned by Yu JIng. On a planet owned by Yu Jing. On a system owned by Yu Jing. With massive military advantages.

Would be really awkward if we didn't.

And completing not even half a genocide counts as failing.

No. Just NO. Yu Jing is plastered as cartoonish, and you sound like rationalizing an undefensible policy. There is no excuse, and the simple act of playing the mass graves is not only of bad taste, is plunging head-first into a can of worms. Because, you know, Spain had a Civil War with mass graves and executions about 80 years ago, and it is still a sore (and VERY politically exploited) point.

Excuse me. I am a customer. I have MY point of view, and I am unable to find ANY kind of justification for this S**tty text.

I'll bet you that stupid image IS the article.

Except they were able to board a giant spaceship, escape the planet throught a (supposedly) defended Wormhole jump point, reach Earth, conquer Japan, ignore the fact that they are INVADING a legitimally owned piece of terran (fluff: YJ "bought Japan" by paying off their massive debt) and the interspatial community not only doesn't bat an eye, they support the bunch of terrorists, both the military ones that went around killing officers, and the civilian ones that went around bombing civilians.

So, of couse, the Imperial response is stupid, counterproductive and useless.

And tomorrow some CB staff will point at us, and (laughing) will say "you failed to notice this was JSA propaganda, mwahahahahaha".
Still, a dick move is a dick move.

@Aldo What is your problem? All I hear from you is whining to an extend that is ridiculous. You made your point, but repeating this over and over again makes me tired.

If you play YJ/ISS, then please reread all the unit descriptions of Bao Troops, Celestial Guards, KuangShi and so on in N2, N3, HSN3, even Paradiso. In the fluff people disappear in secret prisons, Bao troops are feared for their brutality and so on. The statement in this picture is more explicit, but hardly really new.

If you play JSA, great! Now your army freed itself from the bonds of it's suppressor and your people are fighting and dying for their freedom! So let those YuJing Bastards pay for their crimes!!

But please get a grip and stop crying! Afterall it's just a game and if you do not like the fluff, ignore it or create your own for your troops.

My problem is that my faction used to be grey (granted, dark grey) and is now evil evil evil.

I play many factions, but Yu Jing is the one I started with, and the one I like the most. And now it is evil evil evil genocide evil evil evil. Shit, I understand Guges and Kal now.

I know the fluff about IS, I know they aren't generally good guys. But before it was kinda possible to think that some (not the CG, and definitely not the Baos, but the other guys, especially zanying and cranes) of them do more good than bad. Now they are the SS.

Yu Jing used to have some layers, now it is evil.

And that is extremely frustrating. Maybe this is my version of the Corregidor starter/Guijia resculpt? Maybe.

And sure, its just a game. A game that was fun and now is less fun because the little army I played has gone from "kinda bad but for a good reason" to "supernazis".

Like, other factions have some bad spots too, yes, and that is good, but they aren't portrayed as this horrible.

Maybe if the article comes. Or hey, maybe Invincible is in May.

But this is depressing. Couldn't they put some Bushido bullshit on that image?

I mean it makes sense to me that YJ couldn't just... annihilate the Japanese civilians with atomic weaponry or whatever.

Like, the mass evacuation and all that is believable, not because they couldn't blow it out of the sky (of course they could) but because you can't just do that. It's just not politically expedient, even in a time of crisis.

That Crane is clearly a mass murdering fuckhead, sure. Well, the ISS have always been nasty bastards and Yu Jing has always been an apartheid state you know? The difference is the war became open for a while, and brought to the forefront. They were always evil. Kuang Shi are evil. Bao troops are evil. Joining a military which propagates that is tacitly accepting that evil. YJ are... well, they've always been bad guys if you look at what they actually do. Maybe not as bad as the CA (extermination of any resistance, mass killings, mind control, forced experimentation and slavery, obliteration of entire civilisations through WMDs etc etc etc), but pretty awful.

Well, then CB could put that on the faction description. Surely "Evil Space Commie China which is Evil" would sell more than "has good industry and research and great economical growth".

    Like, this is terribly uninspiring.

Recurrent evil secondary character would be much more fitting.

I would have taken a more inspiring text over a useless Zanshi SWC Weapon Box.

Yeah, here I was hoping that we would keep the peaceful facade and expel the refugees to earth after infesting them with a healthy mix of guifeng terrorists, sleeper agents and spies so that the Kampeitai would be forced to become the next hated oppressors. Force a division between the Japanese from Earth and from Shentung, make sure the new nation has a shakey foundation. You know, something clever like that. Instead it looks like we are going to be shooting transports out of the sky and nuking the sites from orbit like retards. My mustache has been twirled to the density of a nuetron star, and there is probably enough computronium in there to power the EI forever. How long until we join Combined Army. Is plot advancement really worth this?

That distinction is purely in your head though. Like, you are welcome to have whatever opinion you want, or to have your headcanon, but YJ prior to this was not "dark grey". They were, very clearly, a brutal murderous totalitarian regime that strapped bombs to political prisoners and threw them into the front lines, disappeared critics of the government, were feared and known for their ruthless secret police, and so on.

Killing civilians on camera is terrible, but it's really not much more terrible than all the stuff they were already doing. If all that stuff is evil (and I agree that it is), then they were already evil evil evil.

I continue to believe that this is just an elaborate op designed to infiltrate the ISS.
