Points to Vanilla losing Kitsune and Oniwabans, while as expected keeping the Ninjas because Red Veil.

After watching the unboxing, the Daiokai unit is starting to grow on me. Still not that keen on the Kuroshi Rider, though, so I might have to swap the helmet and the Scythe in order to make it work for me. The Oniwaban is sweet and so are the Ryuken.

Raiden seem to be goners, if the fluff piece in the booklet is to be believed. Yu Jing will keep Ninjas, so that's relieving, too.

Shit, okay, how to unpack this one.

First of all, this is not a release.

Crane is, next to Mushashi, the single most released unit in the game, including among others the special edition Crane from Angel's book - hell, the old N2 model looks good enough to easily pass as a female version of the Crane in this box. It's simply not a good choice. This is also not a release, but part of a tournament pack. Putting those two sets of information together, it's unlikely that this model will be well received by a winner or runner up in a tournament - it's not unique and it's likely that whoever gets it will already have at least a copy of it, if not an exclusive version of it.

As far as the model choice goes, well... I guess it makes thematic sense and I guess that's the most important thing - to be a set piece for the O-Yoroi.

P.s. it's not a free model, its cost is included and calculated within the cost of the price pack.

I think that Onibawan will still be available to YJ too. As I understood, ninjas follow their clan master, the Onibawan, so if Ninjas stay in YJ, some Onibawans should to.

 

We're left with 2 native characters, and one is a toaster.

I have to wonder if this will make us immune to the Treason Challenge or if Sun will take a vacation.

Sun taking a vacation will fuck my limited insertion lists quite hard.
