No shotguns on them because that would step on the toes of Hellcats. However there is a Multirifle option.
Climbing+ alone on Tomcats is worth a lot. Tomcats have better kits, especially on their specialist profiles, but Hellcats get combat jump and BSG/Spitfire, which are good with AD. I consider both of them to be very good, with basically no overlapping profiles. Even Hellcat paramedic has the unique honor of being a cheap combat jump specialist that can drop right on an objective on turn 3.
I agree. They are complementary: one is an Attack Piece first, Specialist second (or never), the other is Specialist first and Attack piece only for opportunity times. They complement each other well, and TBH the main reason I believe we have the best AD game in Infinity. The ONE thing I will keep asking is to please get the Meteor in CJC. A Sensor AD trooper and our rooster of AD supremacy is complete.
I'm going to keep asking for a decent cheap Lt. choice for CJC. I used to think it was a Nomads thing ("We're all about individuality, so of course we don't have strong Lts.!") But both Bakunin and Tunguska get more options, better options and cheaper options. WTH?
I kinda gave up on that, tbh. But the Meteor is kinda de most Corregidorean of the Remotes, makes no sense for it not to be in CJC. Corregidor lacks strong personalities that can be "leaders", like Carlotta could be, or like Kusanagi is in BJC. I honestly feel adding one of the Generals from the fluff to the Army would have been a good idea for N4. After all, CJC is one of the most experienced factions to do war in space (the focus of ITS12 right?), our leaders, commanders and captains should be there. A Hellcat Commander for example, that starts on the table, a Character Brigada, idk. Even the Mexican General.
Careful you're starting to sound like an MO player there. /s Like the removal of the intruder LT its more than likely a balancing factor for the sectorial. CJC has the most versatile and flexible fireteams, utterly absurd multirole pieces and damn near top tier internal synergy. CJC is probably one of the top armies at the moment, and it needs a balancing factor somewhere which in this case is incredibly obvious and either expensive from a points or SWC point of view or due to opportunity cost. It needs to have this weakness so it approaches some degree of balance.
NO! I want all the things!!! I actually don't mind the Lt. options that much and routinely play the Wildcat Lt. anyway (esp. now that you don't have to take the Haris model to have a Haris link)
If I were a CJC designer I would take a break on adding anything. It would be better to wait until the next book comes out so anything new can make sense in the context of what other factions are getting and what is being added to the game.
Okay, so I feel stupid now. I actually opened the Carlota blister today and took a closer look at her (until know, I judged the mini based on the photos)... Turns out, she's not as bad I the photos I've seen led me to believe. Not the best Infinity minis by any means, but acceptable. So, not only I decided to keep her, I actually went ahead and assembled her today... Thank you for helping me make a good decision, guys.
Yeah I think the a more modern paint style can really help some of the older minis fit in OK. Especially if you are any good with faces.
Unfortunately my own Carlota had a badly casted left eye, had to do a scar and white eye... which I loved how it looks but anyway... she is a good interesting sculpt but would be amazing in the new "3D style". I like her, like I like the old Interventors, anyhow... Don´t mistake we trying to be positive and find good ways to use our armies and models to the "army" being flawless. He are constructive for the most part here, not whiners about not having decent Lts or Command options or the Intruder being outclassed...
