One thing to note is that their application as a combat unit is very much a tool of opportunity. It's not a great idea to say "this turn I'm going to spend 10 orders killing with my Antipodes", because running across the table and killing things in close combat is not always the most order efficient or practical way to get things done. If you do see a high-value model that's in a vulnerable position, or you see an area of the table with dense terrain, then those are all great windows for your Antipodes to use close combat. Their close combat ability is limited too... They'll do damage to non-CC Specialists pretty reliably, but since most miniatures are small based and hugging cover, it's rare that you can actually fit all three into combat with the same enemy at once. Otherwise though, you mostly want them for utility purposes: Sensor to reveal enemy Camo, or Dodge them through Minefields to clear the way for better troops, or just running them halfway up the field and going prone on top of a building so that the enemy has to spend precious orders rooting them out. Their psychological and support impact tends to be way more significant than their actual combat ability.
Good info guys. My first time with them didn't go so well. I saw afterwards what my mistake was and what not to do next time...which will be different again...lol.
