I love the look of the new ORCs. Are both the females using combi rifles?

No, the Hacker has a combi but the other has a BSG, it's very similar to the Combi in looks but you can just make out the distinctive foregrip

There's also the 'turned' barrel look as well.

Ah, nice! I really like the boarding shotgun one. The orange makes it difficult to see details sometimes.

Yeah, open helmets on HI are usually hackers, for some stupid reason.

So, L->R: Hacker, HMG, tinbot, nuBSG.

    ?

Like I said, usually your on-scene commander has more important things to do than operate a machine gun to best usage.

Especially the bold+italics+underlined part. CB did alternate heads for the Shikami, after all.

Hmmm. I don´t think the Orc box is bad, but I am not happy with the posing of the HMG-Dude (and the HMG look very much like the FB) - he not look like giving tactical signs, he look like he make some wired poses. While the FB-Orc has a cool macho pose, this one looks a bit funny.
In comparsion to the females he look way too big. This is supported by the broader pose. The slim femals both had very small posing shilouttes, because they have to share the same basic body. The hacker is okay even with her open hacking visor (the third in a short row: Kamau, Liu Xing, Orc) at least she looks like she takes a look in the RL world and is not actualy in virtual space. So I guess I go with my old HMG/BSG Orcs.

Patsy on the other hand, look very good with her open visor due to the singel eyed optical devise. The only thing, I don´t like on her is the missing shoulder pad. Maybe it has an fluff explanation?

I actually like the chubster of a Tinbot, but what are the odds that it will be available without also buying 3 ORCs?

    Close to zero!

I'd see if someone wants to split the box with you.

Eep. Looks like I'll be sticking to the older line of models for my ORCs, the gender dimorphism is so bad I can't even tell at a glance that they are from the same unit and that HMG looks like he's auditioning to be in Fortnite with his enthusiastic dance pose.

It feels like everything is off with Patsy, the helmet having the incorrect amount of eyes, the shoulder pad, the kneecaps, etc.

I'll still get her though, I like the pose and the sculpt. I'll get around to actually using her in a list one of these days though.

If you remount the right arm on the HMG guy so the gun is forward, then the pose will be a lot better IMHO.

I just want to mention so that it doesn't come across as me being frivolous or just stopping by with this comment. I've been playing infinity for a long time (like early N2), and I recently got back into my starting faction Pan O. I loved those BIG orc women. Seeing CB continue the trend from the Zuyong, which was several steps in the wrong direction that the Mobile Brigada sort of started to represent, of having guys literally twice the size of Tiny Women that are supposed to represent the same unit makes me sad. I do not think I will be picking up any more Orcs or buying into Varuna for this reason.

Its just so goddamn baffling. The Jannissaries boxset were the perfect logical step with the digital sculpts on HI models. Standardized high definition bodies that were different but clearly represented the 'same unit' with the 'same armour class' right? they look similar?

These new Tiny Women look fusilier sized, they look the size of Kamau? It makes no sense. They're horrible sculpts. That Man Orc can fit 2 of those women shoulder to shoulder in his toroso. The Nisses multi-sniper, a MI, looks to be nearly twice the size and a couple feet taller than Patsy in full Orc armour. It's dumb. It fucking sucks. I don't know what they're thinking.

I don’t like patsy and I don’t know why... her dossier looked so much cleaner. I think the sculpt is just too boxy.

The Orc’s pose is just a joke. As mentioned, he looks like he just finished and extremely exhausting dance routine. The main reason, in my opinion, that he looks so trash is because they were desperate to add that stone as scenery even though it adds nothing to the the sculpt; because of the awkward angle of his left leg resting on the boulder, he just looks terribly off balance. Anyone with any idea of aesthetics would pick up on that, so I don’t know how this model slipped through the cracks. Truly disappointing, especially when compared with one of my favorite VIRD models: Orc Feuerbach.

The female models, though grotesquely disproportionate, are quite charming in my estimation. They didn’t overdue it with over the top posing, and that goes along way in not distracting from the intricate details. The hacker in particular looks modestly awe-inspiring, ready to face incoming threats, no matter their size.

I’m not going to talk about Tinbot because I don’t find it sufficiently articulate to use foul language when taking a stance, and only one word comes to mind when my eyes fall on that hideous little robot. I’ll just say, at first glance I thought it was a little freebie Orc Chibi they were handing out along with the Orc pack. The little twerp certainly has no place in my army, and opponents with the gall to field him on one of my tables can certainly expect a pompous sneer. :)

I'm a simple man with simple needs.
I see a cool box of generic HI, and I am okay.
And those Orcs do look pretty darn okay.

I don't know i think the male Orc in this box looks of proportionately not only compared to the females but also against the other male Orc models. It seems to me he is much more bulky then the Orc Feuerbach in the Varuna starter. Also the HMG looks very big. Maybe the female models don't look that off compared to other male Orc models?
That said i also don't like the tiny female models. Didn't CB state sometime ago they don't want to do these big prportional differences in male and female models?
The pose of the male Orc looks ridiculous. What a pitty i wanted some cool CAD Orcs for my FC. :(

Is the Hospitaler the only digitally sculpted HI that is actually posed shooting his HMG?
I think I remember the Teuton shooting his spitfire, likewise with the Santiago, but since digital everyone is posing (Swiss is unashamedly the worst).
Is this a PanO thing now? HI that aren't actually using their weapons.

I believe last properly sized female released was Kanren. She was correct size and also had normal sized weapon ( not tiny little girls toy weapon most female models in Infinity have ).
They stated multiple times they do smaller weapons, because females are smaller so they have to scale it down for artistic reasons. But why the hell are females so much smaller, they never said AFAIK. I am pretty sure it's to save on material. Metal is expensive material, and also heavier the box, more expensive the shipping. So if they can save 5g of metal per box, on the amount they ship overseas and sell, that is some hefty savings. I kinda work in the industry, so I think this is a good guess.
I am glad I am not the only one who dislikes this. But this will never change. Maybe one they when they get smarter and switch to plastics.
HMG Orc looks like he is either dancing or making a silly pose for his Instagram picture. Females ( and Patsy ) have no bulk to them, look nothing like HI. It's like they have only bones and armor over it. No way any muscle or tissue would fit there.

I don't mind the posing in general. Actually i like the Swiss Guard and think he looks badass.
Not every model has to pose though. Some models shooting or doing other practical stuff would be cool.
Also the pose should look cool and not silly like the new HMG Orc.

I like the way they are going with the new female Irmandhino. She is not in a fighting stance but she is not posing also. Looks like she is just sitting and relaxing in betwen fights. It is a welcome change.

Yeah, I can see the Irmandhino very very popular among painters.
