Just to clarify, I think it's reasonably clear for people with no prior expectations, but this one is perhaps more for the veterans who are used to the ITS way of handling it where null-states means dead at last turn for scoring. If you don't think it's needed, then I'm sure it's fine. It'll clog up the document somewhat, after all.

This is outside of the proof-reading bit, but generally speaking I don't particularly find that factions tend to have advantages or not except for Doctors. Engineers tend to be present for most factions, but seldom plentiful and never forward deploying, so while some factions have bad engineers no faction really have stellar multi-purpose engineers. Hackers are everywhere and usually start on the objectives, anyway, and tend to be the first to take care of objectives even if they're not premiered simply because they have the utility to do so.
Doctors, though, is somewhat different. There's several factions where the only doctor available is a basic order monkey that can't join Fireteams (where available) while there's others where they're high-WIP multi-purpose hero characters. I consider it more skewed than Chain of Command (yes, there's a lot of factions without Chain of Command, but the factions that do have it also tend to not have it on super-useful button pushers).
CodeOne doesn't have this skew, at least not until we see what Haqq looks like in CodeOne, so it's a small advantage only with O-12 atm.

As for everything else in the game, I find factions simply find somewhat different means of solving problems. What I mean is, there's very few areas where factions are disadvantaged in this game. Pan-O aren't bad at pushing buttons, they're actually kind of similar to most factions if you look at which units you actually push with, but their plan B is where the low WIP is. Equally, Pan-O are generally good at shooting, true, but just like with how Pan-O's button pushing plan A is actually fairly average at pushing buttons, other factions aren't much worse at shooting when they start using their shenanigans and taking advantage of the active turn.

In either case, that's my philosophy on button pushing missions in Infinity. I'm bad at them because of my priorities, not because my specialists have average-low WIP. (Because Pan-O's specialists now tend toward WIP 13, the average has increased)

Specifically do 20x20, though, my only real concern is that this is the Highly Classified of the missions. It's the only one you actually have to specifically design list for, you can't really suck it up and make-do like you can in the other ones and still get a good score if you play really well.
I do like the dynamic of how the infection makes certain parts of the board undesirable and makes units phobic of each other, so the core of it is very interesting.

I sometimes wonder why CB wastes so many words about a simple thing. No, I really don't think it is needed.

So unless you have something to say about Recruit Mercenaries or Treasure Hunt (questionable mission, I admit), I will wrap it up here, and declare the 20x20 Code One project to be over .... for now! Without you, it would not have been that fast. This way, people get to play 20x20 with Code One before they get an ITS version!

Just jumping in to say that the Caliban (FD: +8") does have its engineer profile in Code1.

    Hey...
Got to play "Upload Evidence" with "Biotechvore" as the variable.
had to say, I played with a new player (I've been playing since Icestorm...) and we both like the mission. Played well at 30pts and had a blast. We are gonna try another mission this week. If anything pops up, I will post here.
    Thanks again PoM!

I had something of a CodeOne weekend and because the base missions in the rules becomes stale fast we mostly played 20x20. We had alot of fun with it so thanks again for writing it up.

One thing we noticed was in the mission "Coding Sequence."
    This text:
"The player who deployed in Deployment Zone A must use the consoles in order to code in the following sequence: 1, 2, 3, 4." implies in my opinion that you need to activate all 4 consoles for one single coding. So that you get 2 VP after activating all consoles in the correct sequence.

I assume that you get 2 VP for activating a single console. While you should be able to get it after thinking about it i believe the wording could be a bit clearer. Especially for new people.

I think 20x20 is a great addition to CodeOne. One fun combination we had was "Control the Center" which also turned out to be protected by a minefield.

    Hey, good catch!
It explains itself by stating that "once coded, a console may not be used by that player any more.", but still good catch

great that you are having fun with 20x20. Yeah, I had a problem putting the idea of this mission into English words. It is an old mission, but I didn't have access to my computer when I wrote it.

Of course, you get 2 OP for a single console and 8 for all of them. I will improve that wording by just copying the old text. That one should work, because people have used it for years. good thing you understood it anyways.
