Yup. They should have just altered the requirements to include "If anyone declares a skill in your hacking area or zone of control."
If it weren't for the fact that Umbra are of questionable utility it'd be great; regardless, it's good. You get a crazy amount of bots and two...
Well, it's definitely a change to the text. Might not be how the people who right the FAQs play, but it changes what's the rulebook in a way...
@toadchild presumably the attacker would dodge in that case but yeah.
But the rules also say you can react without LoF... what part or parts of that rule is the errata deleting?
Does the new ruling mean that if you walk up behind someone with sixth sense and melee attack them (no Zero Vis zone involved), they can't shoot...
The way PP did it took all the creativity out of list building though, whereas in Infinity you can still do interesting or off the wall stuff...
Noooo! This doesn't faithfully represent my Rodoks' special training to shoot people in the butt from weird angles! /s
Nah, you just can't trace LoF through a zero-V zone. When the troopers' bases are touching you're not doing that.

For a tournament we're planning this summer we're gonna do a custom mission where your goal is to get your own xenotech killed.
The main difference is that when you jump, you have to stand up. When you idle, you can stay prone. There's some other bits about being able to...
A part of me liked the idea that my Rodoks were specifically trained to shoot enemies in the ass from weird angles, but it had to happen.
I'm really glad they addressed some of these questions; a couple of them weren't the answers I was hoping for, but the fact that there's...
At least it's not ambiguous. Now, if it creates a big problem, it can't be handwaved away by "Oh, the TO just shouldn't allow that."
You can't, you don't meet the requirements to declare it. It's also part of why Breakwater is so bad.
Just to add a bit of addendum as to why this is bad with hacking: I have a Unidron and an Umbra Legate HD+ (who has stealth) in a fireteam...
Red Fury Fatality L2
@maru the Contender-armed Shikami is supposed to be shooting its assault pistol within 16/40.
Makes sense then. We'll see how it goes.
