Thanks, I forgot about Breaker Pistols. If I had to guess, it's that they decided to calibrate BTS pistols slightly differently than ARM pistols.
I have to agree; I think that would be a bad precedent that would open up things like S2 troopers vaulting over S4 REMs, etc.
On that note, I think it's super weird that viral pistols are DAM 12 when all other "basic" pistol variants are 11.
