Alas no :( Working on that this year though. Nope, but sponsoring the Infinity events, as well as some 40k and heresy events :) Some prizes to win, and discount codes available if you're attending! Made a new bundle, this time it includes an objective room! - a friend here mentioned the Eternity Labs one didn't, I figured that people could add one if they wanted, and might have them already but this makes it easier I guess!
I had a blast at Burn City Brawl in Melbourne last weekend. I haven't played since the last tournament - and it showed haha. I had two losses and a draw on the first day and then a 5-3 and 10-2 win to finish it off. Hopefully I can get some more games in before I forget you can use assisted fire on Dakinis again haha. Well, I will run YJ again for a while I think! Here is my silly 'Barbenheimer' table - which people enjoyed at the tournament! You can read a bit about the table and tournament on the blog if you're interested. I like the idea of a strong contrast between parts of a table. I might try to do more things like this in the future- such as a slum that is dense, and maybe some public gardens nearby for example.
Hey everyone, thanks as ever for your interest - Almost 5 years ago I launched Brutal Cities! Birthday is on the 30th April, when I launched it in 2020. I hope to be able to keep going. I haven't done any purely 28-32mm terrain for games like Infinity lately - although there is one very unique kit I forgot to share here - this 6mm tower here can.... Actually convert into Sci-fi base for Infinity! What do you think? It also uses the Fadelight plastic, the light coming through it is quite beautiful IMO!
Thanks! Yeah certainly, that's 10mm yeah? So would scale well. I made a page with a bit of a longer read about the design philosophy if you're interested. It's the drop down section about a third of the way down the page https://brutalcities.com/pages/epic-scale-terrain
10 mm indeed. As you advertise your products as 6-15 mm, I expect it to fit as it. Regarding this specific game, what should be considered is the altitude mechanic so the buildings should allow ships to match the max altitude or go full cover. Btw, I wonder if some of your designs could quickly switch from high volume floors (warehouse style) in one scale to lower ones (appartment or office style) in another scale just by putting different size accessories in front of the.
Funny you say this - I will be releasing upgrade packs for the Trapper Biotech & genesis modules to do exactly this! also, new scatter finally. I haven't done any 28mm stuff for more than a year and a half!
I've somehow managed to stay in business for 6 years! What would you like to see in the future, if it keeps up?
Congratulations! I'll be sure to break out my Infinity Labs for the next local game! I'd like to see easier shipping to Europe, but i realize there are greater powers at play here... On a more serious note, more scatter terrain? Like trucks (inluding large 18-wheelers), busses, cars, shipping containers, jersey blocks? I like keeping "streets" free of buildings when setting up a table (my OCD twitches when buildings are all over the roads printed on the mat...), and need something to break firelanes along those roads.
Thanks kindly! It's hard work, especially lately. But there are way too many terrain ideas to get out! I am compelled, haha. You and me both, re: shipping. I have resumed shipping to the EU at least. I have plans to do similar to battlekiwi, for a while now. But there are many cogs to set in motion, and being solo it takes a long time to do anything well, while running everything. I'm only just now 80-90% happy with the website design haha. More scatter terrain - yes, I don't have a big range of that. Although the most recent 28mm terrain is scatter, which you can find above. But it's quite a mundane thing compared to my other work. With my slow foray into STLs, vehicles can be done when I get a chance. I'm not sure MDF is the best medium for such scatter.
If you're looking for architectural challenges, how about facade add-ons to the blockier brutalist houses? I imagine some judiciously placed decorations could convert the infinity labs basic shape to something in a more Neo-Futurist style: or even Art Nouveau, if you're feeling really spicy and want to stress-test the laser carver:
