    Hello,

May seem like a stupid question but I couldn't find anything in the forums or in the rulebook/wiki.
How can you lean over let's say a parapet to fire to a mini you cannot see otherwise? I remember N3 had a dedicated rule point about that but I don't know about N4...
Is it just covered by the fact you can move on top of the parapet if you don't stop your move here? Or isn't it possible at all?

    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply and the link.
However, I don't see exactly which rule point forbids it and from what I understand (sorry if I miss something, the topic is long and chaotic :D), the answer is not really clear. What prevents a S2 mini from hoping on a parapet smaller than S2 so that the base goes beyond the edge to get LoF and then ends in legal spot?

If I recall it correctly it goes like this:
You can not voluntary move over the edge. Ever. The only possibility I see to move over edge is if there's a wall with gap near edge so you can kinda squeeze through it and back, then you legally walked over edge.

    Here's from FAQ:

you Just have to go a few pages deep. Basically, this is legal: [IMG]

You can vault onto the parapet (if one exists), which means you can almost always see the enemy model below.

if Red ARO's Orange, is Orange in cover? Is Red in cover if Orange shoots Red?

Orange has cover because of higher level ( RAW: Red can't see whole silhouette of Orange).

As for Red, I would play it like this:
Red gets Cover because geometrically (in this drawing) Orange cannot see the whole base of Red.
But if Orange moves a little bit over the edge, then Red would get no cover.
But this is just me - other people would argue that even in this drawing Red gets no cover

    Thanks for your answers.
Conclusion is that it's not extremely clear I feel... :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Let's hope N5 will clarify that.
I'll keep playing it as you can vault onto the parapet and then get back to shoot at someone below, I'd find so stupid just not being to shoot at all.

Orange doesn't have cover as vaulting removes cover while you do it. Also this can only be done if the wall you vault on is at least half your base, otherwise you can't step on it. With current corvus terrain you wouldn't be able to do this, but you could get lof by standing right behind the wall.

Got a source for Vaulting itself removing cover because that's not actually a thing? Also for stepping onto a Parapet you can do it if it's smaller than half your base we've had confirmation from IJW - https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/vaulting-over.39373/

I think it's most often played that orange (the model on top) gets cover, and red (the model on the bottom) does not cover.
