Yep, that's definitely one of those fights where you either outrange the intruder or you die. The stratuscloud is excellent against more modern nomad firepower like kriza boracs but not the old King of smoke shooting.

Best of luck with further testing :)

Nikoul+symbiomate = if you fail your first opposition fail your guts roll and go prone to be in total cover if you are sure to have a bad opposition
At least you keep one order

Just wanted to say thanks for putting this together its a ton of great info. I came back to the game like a week ago and decided to dive into Tohaa and spiral before knowing that Tohaa aren't being supported going forward. This has only emboldened me to play Tohaa more, looking forward to the Spiral tactics!

@borings just realized I didn't include your Deploying Swarms piece. Added it as a resource at the end of the second post. Let me know if you'd prefer I remove it. :)

I've just played a couple of games, I'll take a while for many of us until we have enought information regarding tactics and performance.

I know it's not for everyone, but have you given Tabletop Simulator a shot?

That's where I've been playing most of my games recently, though the local store has started opening back up again.

If there's desire for it, I could see myself putting the time in to make an N4 Tohaa manual like the boys did back in 2019. It was really helpful for me back in the day.

For reference, I've gotten about 50 N4 Tohaa games in so far, with a few tournament wins to top it of. While my opinion of some units might be a little extreme sometimes, I think I have a pretty good grasp on the faction. :)

Sounds great! Go for it! A Tohaa writeup would be really helpful for n4

i tried it, it wasn't for me. i don't mind playin card games on there, but i feel like infinity isnt as fun without all the little space dolls. ill try the lgs here when the covid numbers are down, but from what i can tell its pretty exclusively 40k players here

Same feeling, tried TTS with different games and decided to wait for better times.
So far, I've just played a few Infinity matches (and a few other games), but looks like things are slowly getting started.
