One of the biggest reasons, as well, is that most people who think their ideas are hot shit are firmly in Dunning-Kruger territory.
There is little to be gained by publicly naming and shaming people, except giving an ego boost to people opposing them and creating a permanent "official" damning record to be brought up against them in the future.
