I figured that the best bet would be to play SoF and Frostbyte with the same one but I'm not really confident. I would appreciate to have your critical feedback for this. Limited insertion for FB, TAG for SoF, extensive hacking and repeater network, engineer to keep everything shooting, Mk4 for ARO pressure, Dart for hunting camos and a Garuda wildcard. 4 specialists for consoles + TAG pilot, tho everyone has a key role beyond pushing buttons. And that leaves only 109 points vulnerable to cold, worst case scenario. (0 | 3) 5.5 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army From this topic, I understood that Andromeda is pretty much a must pick for this scenario, secunded only by Arjunas and far above anything else. So here's my take on it, Andromeda as main option, Sophotect as native backup and fingers crossed for the Mk5 to loot something. For the killing dimension, Deva as Rambo with the link, buffed Dakini MSR and Mk4 for ARO pressure.
I really like the Show of Force list. The hacking support plus Dart withE/M grenades can be brutal. The proxy AHD is a great counter to an opponent’s TAG. Between the multi hmg and the AHD, is actually suggest switching dart to have mines. That way she can stop those one wound hackers or monofilament guys from approaching your Marut at the end of the game. Looting and Sabotage is going to be tough. I think you’ve got the right approach though.
Very good point, I always tend to overlook mines in my list. What about going for a KHD Naga, maybe instead of the Apsara ? That would most likely mean going with no Yudbot and a Warcor instead of a Lamedh. I like it! Another consideration, since your first list can stay exactly the same and be playable in vanilla ALEPH, maybe just do that. You could then run some Myrmidons, Krakots, and/or Ekdromoi for Looting and Sabotage.
That's a fair point indeed. As a beginner tho, and since it is an informal tournament (read no ELO nor reward considerations), I'd like to play with the fireteam rules to get the hang of them and "learn by doing" (I know this way of thinking may be somewhat controversial here, but that's the one I like to go). Also, I will probably have incentives to play it with Vedic at some point later on anyway so, better learn it the hard/Andromeda way now. But that sure would be the right move to play the win.
