Hi guys, i am trying to list Dashat and, of course, i see the couple of zuyong with tactical awarness I started putting them in haris but quickly i fielded these guys in a core. But now i am starting to doubt their real value... So i am asking you... do you use them? Thanks
What kind of challenges make you doubt their value? Just in terms of paying the points for them? If you imagine that Tac Awareness basically cuts their cost in half, in terms of how many orders they generate relative to their cost, they're quite a good deal. having an HMG that can soak a hit, while clearing lanes for McMurder and all of Dahshat's Camo fighters, is a pretty useful staple.
It's surprising to hear they're not working out for you; almost every time I've fielded Zuyong I've been happy I did. To the point that I started trying Zuyong-heavy fireteams instead of Bounty Hunter-heavy and was quite pleased with the results. As Barakiel said, it would help if you could be more specific about how you're fielding Zuyong and the challenges you're encountering. What does your typical Zuyong Core look like? And what are you struggling to handle with them?
I think you will find that a common opinion on Dashat's Zuyong is that they are nearly broken with how many orders and wildcard specialists can cram into their links. I haven't played Dashat in a couple months now, but I always took 2. Usually the HMG and Tinbot Haris profile (both with Tac awareness) but I sometimes would also take 2x HMGs and put one on each side. A pretty common setup might be HMG + Haris Tinbot + your choice of specialist. Spend their 2x tactical awareness orders to shoot once and move once and you've positioned your link + specialist in the mid-field and not spent a single order yet.
