Hello there. Does anyone remember if they said wether there will other languages version of the game available ? I mean except Spanish and English off course. On our local forum, a lot of my fellow citizens are worried about wether there will be a French version or not and I can't remember what they said during the Interplanetario conference.
Same lenguage as Aristeia! cards, Spanish, English, Deutsch and French (i left French for the final part :p)
The French version will only contain Surrender action cards anyway, to respect our unique way to make wars.
Great thanks for the answer. I was expecting this one ... Don't say that man. I don't care about military honors and all that stuff, but it's not very respectful for some of our grandfather who died in Dunkerque and many other places during WW2.
Owow. Sorry guys, I was just kidding - it's kind of a meme on the interwebs. Not offense intended at all, I should probably have added an emoji to make this clearer. Now, for people wondering: France actually has a brilliant war history (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_France), with much more wins than many other countries. Although I do think we can still joke about it, as long as it is for fun.
The problem with the French military's record is French politicians. Though honestly you can replace [French] with any other nation's name and still be 100% accurate.
Those who died in the wars really don't care about the joke, on account of them being dead and past all that pesky meatbag stuff. You can't offend the dead - because they're like, well dead, innit? It's ONLY the LIVING who will be offended. Jokes about the French are a tradition going back to William the bastard invading the land of the Angles and Danes.
Now that the campaign is started, if I read the information in the right way, there is no other language than English and Spanish. If I'm still understanding it correctly, there will be no release of the game after the campaign. Thus no French (or other) version to be expected later. Am I correct?
Someone ask about French version in Q&A section of kickstarter and answer was maybe (depending on number of French backers), so nothing certain.
Maybe a PDF translation to download in other languages may be possible. It would help to get more people into the game.
Thanks for the feedback. But it seems a bit leading nowhere as it. If there is enough French pledge (don't know how it could be known), there may be a French translation. But if there no sure translation, I doubt that there will be more French backers. So we need more French backers to get the translation but we need the translation to get the backers. Anyway it's still more hope than a definitive no. I'll keep an eye on it.
Indeed, but usually this kind of information is filled int during the pledge manager as far as I know. Maybe KS provide such information on the profile side (didn't check honestly). Let see how it goes. There is still plenty of time.
If you go to the community tab it shows a breakdown of backers by Country and City. It only shows the top 10 to us but CB will have the full data.
