True but the Caliban have the same FD2.

Infiltration on a PH12 troop is functionally identical to FD2 ;).

Aw hell no. ;-) Apart from Infiltrating a further 4”, I frequently push Shrouded Minelayers and Dazer-layers over the halfway line.

I could see risking it if you are bringing max AVA, but < 50% chance of success is too risky for my blood (and most of my meta, as it turns out).

If I really want that mine on the enemy half, I'll bring a Speculo (or two!).

Who said it’s instead of the Speculo Minelayer? :smiling_imp:

sorry guys.... but if I put a prone marker to that S0 Seed Soldier what I have to tell my opponent as open Info? That is is S0 because of prone and nothing more or that is prone and S0 and actually S2? I´m confused....

A Seed is always S0, so if you don't denote the Trooper as Prone you would tell you opponent "This is a S0 Camouflaged Marker".

If you do choose to deploy prone you would tell your opponent "This is a S0 Camouflaged Marker in the Prone State".

If you have a prone shrouded and a prone seed soldier they are indistinguishable.

I feel like several people are saying the same thing here in violent agreement, but just in case we have someone new wondering what the difference is:

A seed soldier in the prone state is a S0 camo marker in the prone state.

A shrouded in the prone state is also a S0 camo marker in the prone state (because, being prone makes you S0).

So there is no visible difference to an opponent, since they only know what silhouette the camo marker is, and what states apply to it, not what the model underneath is.

Good luck! Please let us know how the Cadmus/Red Fury performs - it looks interesting on paper but I've not had the chance to field it yet.

Oh I can contribute here! I've used it (Red Fury) in about 4-5 games now. Due to it's loadout I don't use it as a roadblock or anything like that, but instead look for high ground with good angles to hatch. I've successfully Scanned a Gamma troop and proceeded to murder my opponent's backline from a high vantage point. I think you have to approach your placement like you would climbing plus, in order to deny cover to your targets where possible. I've thrown it away on accident due to bad hatch position once, and have tried to use it like a boarding shotgun and land behind targets but that didn't work for a variety of reasons. If you can get good placement you shouldn't need to scan to be successful (I've only hit the jackpot once), and should focus on destroying your opponents orders/support if possible. In the same list I run Double Speculo so after they feel it's safe to move around I drop another threat in to either support the surviving speculo or to clear the way for my midfield/Gwailos.

Well I played Bakunin and it was a total disaster! I went second, therefore it was bad. It was good terrain for both of us but somehow he still saw my Nox. Lt. (bad placement by me) and killed him first turn. Pretty much downhill from there. Once he rolled out his Uberfall, i knew it was over.

it didn’t help i was, as usual, rolling horribly. I had the EVO drone and still rolled 17 and 18 to drop. One went off table. BTW what happens to them if it sets up on a board edge? do you loose the decoys? The Red Fury was able use the decoys to get back on target to being next the objective. I took some shots at Riot Grrl and he took one wound and shrugged off the rest. We ended up not even finishing because he had routed me by the second turn and he was going to get the objective.

Honesty it was not a fun game for me. I think in the 10+ years of playing Shasvastii, i've won less than 10.

All three Decoys will be in your Deployment Zone, touching a table edge.

Guys I have a question that came up in my last game with the Cadmus. Its about the chest mine and the seed embryo state.... if the cadmus is in this state and want to declare a ARO can he only declare Hatch or can he also declare using the chest mine even he is in seed embryo state?

Maybe a valid reason to mix flat "classic" camo markers and the ones with an actual model silhoutette on them?

Chest Mines are a valid ARO option for a seed-embryo. Indeed, the developed form does not have the chest mines and cannot use them.
