I finished the Zuyong HMG in May 2019 and it was a pleasure to paint. I'm realy happy how my interpretation of the studio color turned out with the Zuyong armor.
I did many pictures this time, so don't forget to click the button.

I did some batchwork while painting the Zuyong HMG, so I was able to finish the Tinbot Zuyong quickly, also in May 2019.
Both tactical awareness troopers are now available for the battle.

Beautiful paintwork! I'd love to see those across the table from me.

It's too bad the Zuyong Multirifle is as big as it is, it really makes the female Zuyong from the IA starter look tiny.

I'm not quite happy with the result. I cannot exactly tell you why, so I decided to call it finished and move on.
I would have liked to get the SMG profile first, but the sculpt is fantastic and in itself its a very good model. This was finished at the end of June 19.

There are some spots where it looks like you are suffering from fuzzy primer, but overall it looks pretty good!

I think it looks good as per your usual standards. However to be critical I think the cloth looks a bit plain. I think with your skills you should do a camo pattern to spruce it up a bit ;-)

Just a thought from my unskilled painter mind: maybe the cloth and the armor are too close in term of color/hue (whatever the correct term is).
I think that @Section9 's camo suggestion would do wonder.

I think you're right. I did used the same colors for the cloak like I did for the Guilang. I was quite happy with it there, but it had less armor plates and think I'll do it differently when CB released the SMG version. *hint hint*
To this day, I avoided camo patterns like a cat does avoid water. Maybe its time for a shower on the next camo model.

I painted my Guilang with "Pine Bough" snow camo. White background with brown arcs on it, then scrub some green over the top in near-vertical strokes (I used a GW drybrush but didn't get the paint completely dry).

The white background is a bit annoying to shade&highlight, but overall it's a very quick camo to paint.

As you already know, I am a rather slow painter. So it should be no surprise that I still have a huge pile of JSA models unpainted since Uprising. My plan for them was to use try different color scheme and it had to be be green! So I came up with his in July 2019. I hope you like it. Critique is welcome. Next step would be some tests on an armored model. But later. IA will be back with the next model.
    ---
