i bought a good lot of jsa When they left yujin. I had 5 haramaki and a missile launcher raiden. Do you have any suggestion to convert them to look more like their " new" troop type? More than modelling the hat for haramaki i have no idea.
I added extra shoulder and hip armour on mine. In a style reminiscent of old samurai armour. Oh, and gave the haramaki new heads (upholstery tacks). I never had any raiden.
You replaced the whole head with a upholstery tack? That sounds interesting. Do you have any pictures?
No, I drilled a hole into their heads and glued the tack (pin and all) into the hole. Then I textured a couple of the pin heads. Then added GS armour pads for a shoulder (left one) and both thighs. These are the hats I textured. These are the ones I just primed and painted. This pic shows the armour pauldron and leg armour on one of them.
I didn't do anything like that. Since my old models were already painted, and each unit had it's own armor color, I merely painted the new units to match the old.
Mine started life as a Domaru but sticking an umbrella on anyone's head basically makes them a Tanko.
