I really don't think access to Chasseurs makes up for losing access to powerful links and SWC 0 tank hunter COC. But I guess thats a subjective call.
Considering button-pushing heavy tournaments still being very popular I hear... Chasseurs are very understandably strong.
Key piece definitely are Chasseurs, the threat that every Camo Marker could be a Sixth Sense LFT makes a big difference Galwegians, Volunteers, Caterans, Uxia, Hardcases and Cameronians also come to mind. Vanilla Ariadna is damn scary and 2 Spetsnaz HMG is all the firepower you need without having to rely on a Link. Ariadna doesn't really need CoC, but they still have it available. BTT, man it's hard to fit that stupid Aquila in there without cutting down on Orders.
Unrelated question to all the Pan-O/NCA pros here: I will go and play FC for sure. So i tought i could start a Pan-O sectorial alongside to use the Pan-O troops i will get for FC. So the question is, are Orcs good enough in NCA to field them? I know they are good in Varuna but there i can't also use the Bolts.
Pretty sure @barakiel knows a thing or a couple dozen about NCA. He should be able to clarify that, I'd hope.
They're not bad. Since their Haris got cheaper they're a lot more flexible. Couple that with the CoC bolt and the HMG LT is a real viable option now. As far as HI goes in NCA theyre definitely the weakest of the bunch, but fun none-the-less
Orcs themselves still do nothing Important in NCA. Can't slot one into Bolts or Fusiliers, the Hacker is still a terrible Specialist, Swiss or Aquila still outshoot the Haris and they're expensive to boot (3 Orcs cost as much as 2 Guards). Even though they can fit the Aquila FTO, Balckfriar and Bipandra into their ranks, they remain NCA's big losers. Aquila + Bolts just seem so much better now. Well they gained Fireteam Core, I guess they are an option for a LI Paintrain with Doc + Aquila.
I'd be a lot happier if CB would adjust everything at the same time when they change the pricing formula. Would avoid charges of hand-adjusting costs, at least. Because Bolts would have gotten two small adjustments in cost last year if they did. Once when JSA dropped (change to Combi+LSG with Aragoto), and again when OSS dropped (change to Drop Bears with Yadu).
@Vijel ORCs aren't fantastic in NCA, but you can always get the minis and use them as an Aquila or Swiss Guard. Heavy Infantry as generic proxies and PanO REMs are going to cross over between FC and NCA. A lot of NCA's best units (Fusiliers, Hexas, Auxilia) can serve as proxies in either force. But Foreign Company and NCA are pretty different beasts. The best Foreign Company setups I've seen discussed are pretty heavy on Nomad troops...
Mean people would say that Bolts were ONLY addressed because Voreign Company and not NCA. And today in a single match with OSS Ive deployed more Dropbears than with NCA ever ;P (I like more and more Yadu Haris).

Orcs work better in VIRD were you can mix in Kamau to low the links cost while retaining combat potency.

Pick one. The sectorials have always done well, or only the new ones are good. I mean, the ITS rankings show USA and TAK performing equally well. NCA still top ten.
It's not exactly what I ment. Play old QK, MO, HS, versus VIRD/OSS/TAK. (especially MO prior to HSN3)
My point is the new sectorials out preform a lot of older sectorials. Pano 3 planetary sectorials are all in a good shape right now and have always been pretty good. But that is hardly the case for the rest of the sectorials in the game. I'm not complaining about Pano balance, I'm complaining about the balance of the entire game. VIRD is certainly part of the "new sectorials out classing older ones" pattern. CB has the classic 40k new codex syndrome.
Bolts were discounted because Foreign Company got them, and only because of it. You know how you can tell? Aquila still pays the freakin' 13 points for MSV3.
