I've been experimenting with the Domakuri(?) Haris team, and have had some reasonable results with them. In the fireteam composition, it says 1 Domaru Haris + 2 Karakuri under both the Domaru and Karakuri. So what is the Karakuri (Fireteam: Haris) profile for? Do I need to purchase both the Domaru Haris model and the Karakuri Haris model to make a valid team? Can I choose between the two? Seems like a redundant profile unless I can use it as the base for a Fireteam with any Domaru model, although the Combi profile is my least favourite of the three... Was just dreaming of a Haris with a Domaru Spitfire and two Karakuri with Heavy Shotguns. Advance with the Domaru, park midfield, and let the Karakuri take over for close range ARO defence....
You can either do a pure Karakuri Haris (in which case you'll need the Karakuri profile with the Haris skill) or a Domaru + Karakuri Special Haris (which stipulates you must use the Domaru profile with the Haris skill).
The Mk12 seems to work perfectly fine for that -- it's B4 in the link, the jump from B4 to B5 doesn't do nearly as much as a jump from B2 to B3 in most f2f rolls, and it's even got higher damage and a lower SWC cost to boot. This means you can spend your SWC on heavy weapons and Ryukens, which is great given how starved for it JSA feels.
The wiki lists all the valid Fireteams: http://infinitythewiki.com/en/List_of_Fireteams#Japanese_Secessionist_Army So you can do a normal Haris, where everything has to be a Karakuri and the Special Haris like described above.
So I can still take the normal 3 Karakuri Haris? I thought it had to be 1 Domaru and 2 Karakuri. I used to use the 3K link all the time in the old JSA list. That's the part I was missing.... Thanks!
Yes, the 'Special' Fireteam: Haris of a Domaru Haris + two Karakuri is an extra option, not a replacement for the standard Haris of 2-3 Karakuri.
