The FAQ for Holoprojector reads as follows: Q: What is the angle of LoF of a Holoecho? A: The same as it's owner, usually 180 degrees. Easy enough, in terms of how large an arc a Holoecho can "see" - but must that arc be the exact same as the actual trooper's? So for example, say I'm using a Kanren - I get that his Holoechoes have the same 180 degree LoF arc that he does. But if he's facing "North" (and thus able to see from 270 to 90 degrees on the "compass") do both of his Holoechoes also need to face "North" as well? I've always interpreted this the more conservative way, (everyone has to face the same direction) but recently saw a post on FB saying the Holoechoes can each face whichever direction you like - hence this rules question. Thanks for any clarification anyone can provide!
no, it just means they have a 180 LoF, just as the owners, not the same facing per say. they can face whatever direction they'd like.
Yeah, no. The facing of the Trooper needs to be the same as the Marker or the whole thing falls apart. Edit: derp. I misread. The two fake echoes can have any facing they like, the real echo has the same facing as the Trooper.
Each echo has a 180 degree facing. Each can be facing any direction it wants, independently of the others. When revealed, the real model's facing will match whatever model/marker it was hiding under.
Because I was trying to say what @toadchild said while displaying bad reading comprehension and a distinct lack of caffeine.
I got you man, no worries To be honest, the aspect of someone's trooper trying to have a different facing than the marker state they're in didn't even click in my brain as a possibility
Yeah, and your answer jumped right out at me before I'd finished reading the question properly and that possibility was all I saw. :)
Excellent, thanks folks - looks like holo technology in the Human Sphere is more advanced than I thought!
