"Special Fireteam: Haris. 2 Yadus + 1 Asura" is both a special fireteam of Yadus units, and a special fireteam of Asura units.
The rule never say that if Yadu has the Haris skill, it is a Yadu trooper type haris and if Asura has the Haris skill it is a Asura trooper type haris. You can also have both Yadu and Asura have a haris skill. As long as at least one member has the Haris skill then you are fine (unless the Special Fireteam asks that a specific trooper has the Haris skill).

Same for example in Ikari :
"Special Fireteam: Haris. 2 Brawlers + 1 Tankō.
Special Fireteam: Haris. 2 Tankōs + 1 Brawler."
is listed both under brawler fireteams and Tanko fireteams.
And again, there is no rule that it is a brawler or tanko haris depending on which model has the Haris skill.

Yadu Officer Shakti count as a Yadu, quite obvious it would, but still needed to be typed out. Shakti has the Haris skill, in fact unlike Yadu and Asura, Shakti always have the Haris skill in all of its loadouts.

Deva have a Haris profile. Asura has a Haris profile. Either of these models provides the FT:H requirement. Again, it never stipulates you need to use a "Yadu with Fireteam:Haris" for it to count as a Yadu link. 2 Yadu/Asura and 2 Yadu/Deva both sit in the section for Yadu links. Ergo, Asura or Deva (Haris) plus Samekh and Rudras are valid "Yadu" links- per IJW's "it is how it is" argument.

Oh man, now I'm imagining going full Core with this - a Samekh, a Rudra, and three Yadus/two and Shakti. Expensive? Yes. Potentially hilarious? Also yes. Bonus, because of the Samekh, has the potential to actually be cheaper than a normal Core of Yadus. With two REMs in a high-power Fireteam, you might want the Apsara, or since the Rudra is a Repeater and both REMs are already BS12, you'd probably instead want a Danava or something buffing them.

Need to start thinking of Yadu as unhackable Heavy Infantry, not as expensive Medium Inf.

    Took you long enough xD

I doubt about that, since, at least to me, a Fireteam is "of X unit" if that unit provides the required slot... So yeah, you can have a Securitate Fireteam without any securitate (by using grenzers, who count as securitates, but that won't allow for an Interventor inside since that can only join grenzer fireteams), but claiming that you can have a Yadu Haris by using an Asura Haris is less than logical... it would be an Asura Haris, that can be made of 1 Asura and 2 Devas or 2 Yadus.

These are Yadu links. By definition. Some of them can also count as other types of links, but they remain Yadu links.

Just to re-emphasise the above post - no where in the haris rules or link team chart does it say WHO has to have the haris skill... just that the link must include SOMEONE with it :)

I'd also like to join the discussion with a little argument our group currently is debating. Could I form a Yadu haris consisting in a Deva with the Haris skill, a Rudras Gunbot, and a Samekh rebot, and still consider it a Yadu haris even though there's no Yadu present?

The conflict comes because the Deva fireteam chart does not include Yadus as a valid member for their special haris, but Yadus do include an entry on their profile allowing that kind of fireteam. I'd like clarification on that.

It does not specify which trooper needs to have the Haris skill (compare with the Karakuri + Domaru Haris) so as long as one of the members has the Haris skill it doesn't matter which one.

TO for our first ITS event doesn't believe the Samekh/Rudras in Special Haris has been adequately ruled on or spelled out... So has barred any player from subbing members of those teams with a Samekh or Rudras... Would be nice to get a straight and comprehensive answer, inclusive of examples demonstrating it at work, instead of insistence that it is being read wrong.

It seems especially noticeable in the thread about Deva profiles that IJW has a tendency to "answer" questions without answering the entire question, or by alluding to what an answer may be without spelling it out :(

I would understand if he meant that a Yadu Fireteam is not a Yadu fireteam if there are no Yadu left in it. As i'm not sure we had that case before.

But subbing "join anything" trooper in a special fireteam already has precedence.

Valerya can join any Druze sectorial fireteam, and that meant subbing (not in addition) and can sub required members like ether Scarface or Cordelia in a Scarface + Cordelia special fireteam. It was debated with players arguing both for and against it. It was not ruled by IJW but actually in the solved rules section : https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/solved-valerya-gromoz-and-scarface-in-dbs.23373/

So to say that Samekh "join any fireteam of OS Army" excludes him joining a special fireteam that doesn't have any "up to" in its composition is a ridiculous stance to enforce when it was confirmed that the very same wording used for Valerya allowed to sub her in a special duo that had as requirements two very specific model.

So make it a rule in the rules/wiki for Fireteam. Or just provide a clear and solid ruling on it. This game shouldn't have rules that hinge upon previous precedents hidden on an online forum. The should be clear and justified in the first instance.
