This summary actually really helps. For some reason though i can see the embedded images if i log out. When i log in they disappear...
some of the admins should call if all this rules is correct or not ! Still have questions about the validity of coord. hack One trooper Shoots and other Hacks !
I'd need to finish it first. No. All must Hack or all must BS Attack. But you can set it up so you force normal rolls (ie co-ord Mary Sue and a Jaguar Panzerfaust if they shoot back at the Jag you can hack unopposed).
Good idea, I don't understand the rules. For exemple, when you have a EVO in your army, can you coordinate hack with 4 hackers killers ? The EVO must participate ?
The EVO unlocks the ability to allow up to 4 hackers to perform coordinated hacking, but it doesn't have to participate itself.
Is it for real? the BtB becoms Engaged just by the fact TAG changed side, without any effort to Engage him? If it is, its a hole in a rules, working in both directions. The enemy who POS your TAG just place any bot (Auxbot would be good) in BtB to a 'friendly" POS unit, & after removing POS he becomes useless cause get a fork Electric Pulse + any other ARO's he could trigger...
Yes. You become Engaged from being B2B with an Enemy. Yes it works both ways. Solution: don’t activate the TAG, use something else to get rid of it.
@inane.imp - have we yet had a final determination somewhere on the Hacking Area = Zone of Control for Sixth Sense L2?
Nope. RAW is still Hacking Area = ZOC for the purposes of Hacking AROs. How that interacts with SSL1 is described in the thread linked below, but it hasn't been officially confirmed by anyone other than @ijw. https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/repeaters-vs-stealth.22609/page-2#post-84364 I'll probably start on an update for this once that gets resolved. @Treehouse has helped with a little bit I need to cut in. Edit: to make it clear, SSL2 isn't necessary for the interaction which can create some weird situations. Step 3: A Nomad Camo marker moves into ZOC of their opponent's Repeater and into LOF of an enemy Wardriver HD, but outside ZOC. Step 4: Their opponent's Wardriver HD (with SSL1) delays it's ARO due to Camo. Step 5: The Nomad Camo marker reveals as a Bandit with Deployable Repeaters and declares a Surprise Shot with their Combi Rifle. Step 6: The Wardriver can BS Attack back at -9 (Camo, Cover and Surprise Shot); Dodge at -3 (Surprise Shot) or Blackout at flat WIP (Surprise Shot is cancelled by SSL1). This also illustrates that the reason a trooper delays (due Marker state or due SSL1) is important, not just that they delay. If instead the Wardriver had delayed at Step 3 due SSL1 then at Step 6 the only valid ARO would be Blackout. Delay with SSL1 would become an idle as it was declared outside of effective ZOC (since Hacking Area only counts as ZOC for the purposes of Hacking not for Dodge or BS Attack).
I seem to recall Koni confirming that Sixth Sense and Hacking Area are compatible in the old forums, so I suggest you give that old search function a spin over there.
He did. They're compatible, but IIRC the context was Stealth not working vs Sixth Sense even through a Hacking Area. The delay due SSL1 within a Hacking Area was a surprise when @ijw said that was the way it was played. Personally, I still don't play that way.
For reference, I have NOT said that this is the way it is played, and I don't recommend that people play this way due to the results of the interaction. There's basically been a single hypothetical discussion of delaying hacking AROs due to Sixth Sense (Level 1).
I misunderstood you then. As did a fair few other people. Thanks for the clarification, I didn't mean to misrepresent you. :) Edit: I think I may be using loose language and confusing things. I meant "that's the way it's played" as "that's the way the interaction works if you follow it through" not literally the way people play it necessarily. Which in hindsight was poor phrasing. :(
is this part true ? Critical by itself (in the FtF Roll rules) does nothing (well it does beat any normal die roll even if they were higher than your critical roll). BS Attack Results and CC Attack Results have an added text that Criticals will cause wounds unless otherwise overruled by the special ammo. That text is absent from the Hacking section of the rule. I always played that it was auto-success, bypassing the BTS, but I was told otherwise and couldn't prove I'm right. That said, Trinity does have an effect bullet about Critical doing auto shock damage and Redrum too (critical does 1 wound bypassing the first BTS roll, still need to roll the second). There is no effect mentionned for Overlord and Exorcism. question answered by IJW below
Yes. See p147 of the Human Sphere N3 PDF, which has a chart of Hacking Criticals covering all the Programs. Which I've only just noticed is missing from the wiki. :-(
