After painting most of ALEPH, I decided to start a QK army. These are the results so far. The papercraft vyper is part of the scenery I'm putting together.
I just realized most people here don't know of the great amount of free papercraft stuff out there that we could use for terrain. I will make a post about it soon.
I love papercraft terrain. I'll be waiting for your post. Hafza unit waiting for the shuttle to land. The Nomad delegation arrives in the QK corsair ship. "Is there a sniper on top of the shuttle, or are you just happy to see me, reverend healer?" Meanwhile, the extremely impetuous Yuan Yuan disembark through the emergency hatches. From the Black Labs, with love.
Yeah! Me too - I'm currently reoutfitting our LGS with papercraft instead of the MDF stuff. It looks rad.
And created. Hope it helps. The shuttle is also from Genet/Ebbles? i must have missed it, will have to give it a second look because it's damn perfect.
Tanks for the links! And your're right. It's the UD 41 Dropship, an awesome model IMHO. One day, I'll build a VT-3 Pinzgauer... one day...
@ancalagon77 Wonderful work. The papercrafts are a nice touch that you don't see much of. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
Yep, somehow i had missed it, i saw a ship but didn't notice it was a transport with actual cargo space, i gotta give a closer look at everything else. To save some searches to the lazy who want this beauty, it's here, plus some color variations here, and the payload here. Use somewhat thick cardboard on your printer but don't go too far or it'll be much harder to build, even just plain cardboard should be OK (plus if it breaks you can have the replacement printed and built the same day if you want), i've had stuff made out of crappy cheap office paper last far longer than it had any right to be, as long as you don't crush it it'll last. Also, take a Sharpie of the right color (if in doubt black will do, just like with our washes, but use your judgment on this) and paint the borders to hide the unavoidable white seams and make it look more natural.
@ancalagon77 Wonderful work 77. The papercraft pics are not showing up for some reason but I bet they are astounding. You have also made me want to procure some Haqq Chicken remotes on account that you made them look so nice.
Forum attachments have been unreliable lately (therefore why i've been completely ignoring them from the beginning and instead using Imgur), but yes, they were great, i really gotta build myself an UD-41 of my own
I still use Imgur, but it' sucking a little bit more each day with their focus on "building community" (translated from MarketSpeak into "sell more ads") so i'm more and more tempted to self-host them every day, one of these days i just might get me some cheap hosting with reasonable bandwidth limits and set up something static plus a way to easily upload them from the phone and i'll just call it a day.
@jherazob Or uses sites like postimage.org. I noticed a couple of them out there. Dropbox can be used as well if you wish.
Postimage sucks even more than Imgur, they give you a helluva tiny thumbnail for here that you have to click on if you want to see the full image, so that you have to enter their site and see ads. And Dropbox is very unreliable. If you exceed whatever bandwidth they decide to give you for a given image, it just breaks. Of course it could be worse, like using images straight out of Facebook, which is something they very intentionally break as we have repeatedly seen here, they don't want you wandering out of their walled garden to milk you like livestock. I honestly don't see a better choice than to self-host, really. Too bad it's such a pain...
I never though about it that way. I guess maybe getting an Imgur account for the time being might be a good idea for myself
