Limited Edition figure for Sandtrap. SO FUCKING AWESOME That mini just sold me the box, I don't care that I'll have no use for the PanO half of the box.
So with the cost of Daiyokai being not too much more than Shikami, what's the point if Shikami without Soecialist Operatives and the other goodies it has lost? Surely a mishap. But I applaud the option to get more Shikami and ninja in a list, even just for funzies.
While generally I agree with you, Dart gets a lot of work out of her Viral Bow. Besides, we don't know the rest of his profile. What if he brings Eclipse Grenades? Unlikely, because available to a PanO faction, but technically they already have Eclipse. Don't be too quick to judge
Yeah, because we all know that the profile always matches the mini, right? Also, do you have some kind of superpower that translate the look of a mini into N5 rules? No? That's what I thought. Wait for the rules, you'll whine after. On a side note, I love the mini, even with the dumb tactical rock. And it sounds like it could be an original profile bringing something new to JSA.
Continuing with the unit name translations. Yamabushi - Shinju: Mountain Warrior - Pearl Kyoshõ Saibãyunitto: Master Cyber Unit Genbutai: Black Tortoise Group (Black Tortoise is one of the 4 Chinese constellations/mythical beasts, representing north/winter) Sõhei Tsugekitai: Warrior Monk Storm Troopers (Tsugekitai is the japanese translation of the German WW2 Sturmabteilung) Edit: Fixed the last one
I believe you were very quick the other day to tell people to “calm down” and wait for details… You do not like the look of the mini…cool. As for the profile, no one knows how it will come together as a whole ability and loadout-wise As to your very over the top reaction…calm down.
I think he's a Japense Hardcase. He's going to be a nuisance type guy. If he' gets into CC he could wreak your day but other than that, not much else.
I was drifting towards a Japanese Shaolin Monk, but yeah, a Hardcase-equivalent would make sense, too. Also, I like the model. A lot. And take note, CB: that's the "tactical rock" made right (in my opinion, of course).
That's the Sohei. They are literally Buddhist monks. Japanese monks used to fight bandits and even fought with and against samurai at times. Yamabushi could be Buddhist but could be Shinto.
I'm aware of the real-life difference (also, of the fact that real-life buddhism doesn't make an issue out of one following other religion / system of worship beside buddhism, so a number of yamabushi were known to combine buddhism and shinto in their practice) - I was referring to the unit's role in Infinity N5. If Sohei turn to be the Japanese take on Shaolin Monks, that's fine (I haven't yet checked the Army update - I don't play JSA, and there are no JSA players in my meta as of now. N5, it may change - there's at least one guy eyeing them :) ).
that not seems very like me. But anyway, is nothing to do with the rules (mostly). Is the sculpt itself
Make up your mind. Earlier, it was "It seems only CC weapon and bow. I hate bows. They are useless" (so rules), and now, it's not about the rules anymore...
Ah yeah I get it. I was meaning more towards being a "monk". Rules-wise I bet the Yamabushi is also religious. Sounds like Martial Arts, but no idea on anything else yet.
I always thought the easiest way to fix the Tac Bow was to give it +6 at 0-8". I'd probably take that on my ninja a little more often if it was that.
That would be cool. It would picture well some slow, short-ranged, but extremely precise weapon, like a bow handled by a super-trained soldier.
